Professional Too Easy, World Class Too Hard

So it's early and I know sliders are being worked on, but I'm seeing it again. After about 20 or so games played, I have won everytime on professional and lost every time on World Class.

Professional is just too easy with attack. No ball pressure from CPU and you can dribble past pretty much any CPU defender. The CPU attack is nonexistent.

I would like to play world class but the biggest problems I see right now are:

    1) CPU tackling is way too good. My favorite animation is when they seem to be shot out of a cannon right at you and steal the ball. Any sort of dribble is stolen almost immediately.

    2) Passing is wonky. I play assisted but so many of my passes go the exact opposite way they should. On WC, I often have players that pass it directly to the opposite team standing in front of them.

    3) CPU is way too physically strong. Almost impossible to get them off the ball, but they will nudge your guy and easily gain the ball. Real life size and strength attributes don't seem to apply here.

    4) CPU fouls aren't called when they should be. This goes with the physicality aspect discussed above.

    5) When switching the guy I switch to comes to an automatic stop on long balls by CPU so therefore is often caught chasing a CPU player into the goal from behind.

Going to start to investigate how to make professional harder or wc more fair. Not sure which one would end up with the best gameplay. Anyone have some thoughts?

    Hi!

That was exactly what I experienced last year. That was why I made the "Hardcore simulation sliders" thread. Check it out. As soon as I get FIFA 17 I will see if it will need a similar aprouch.

    Cheers!

Such has been the case for the past 5 FIFAs generally. Professional the CPU just roll over, World Class I'm sorry to say - they cheat.

I find the best bet is to play on Professional, but use full manual controls, then 'boost' some of the CPU sliders in their favour as you see fit. So things like give them a lower pass and shot error than you, even sometimes boost their acceleration and sprint speed if necessary.

The jump from Pro to World Class seems to be the steepest, and this dates back several years of FIFA.

In 16 and now in 17 I do similar things. Playing manual is one challenge that is a default for me. Mostly bumping marking for CPU and lowering it for user. Also upping first touch for both takes out of the perfection a bit, I like its results.

So far my experience is it doesn't really matter what level difficulty you are playing on, every team passes so crisply and defends perfectly. It's pissing me off.

Try some first touch (as high as 70) and pass error (mine is at 55 for CPU), lower pass speed (mine is at 42 for both) and that crisp is not as crisp for every single team.

Yep. All teams are the same, just different players. But this thread is exactly why I went back to PES, couldn't find right challenge level. Too easy then one level up, I could barely get a shot off, and if i did, it was a slow roller.

As someone that was in the same predicament, try playing on Legendary with Sprint speed set to 48 and Acceleraton set to 47 then adjust each one until you find the perfect difficulty.

As I don't have the time to write out a full reply at the moment, here's a post I posted elsewhere the other day.

So I'm a little confused, I've just played maybe my favourite ever game of FIFA; the game was back and forward, I made tackles, I won headers, I had a number of shots on goal etc. etc. and it finished in a 2-2 draw, now this was Arsenal vs Tottenham. I then played a 2nd game against Watford and won 4-0 and then a 3rd against Napoli and won 2-0. All pretty realistic scores.

The strange thing is though, this was playing on Legendary difficulty and yet I can't for the life of me win on World Class, on World Class the AI constantly passes it around the back 4, I can never win a header, I also barely make any tackles as the AI always seems to pass it right before a chance becomes available and I barely ever get any shots on goal.

I'm not sure what it is??? Is Legendary broken? i sincerely hope not. Or is World Class broken, did EA maybe screw something up when they were trying to hamstring the AI on lower difficulties?

EDIT: I was playing with sliders the night prior and didn't switch them back properly. So the AI sprint speed was set to 48 and Acceleration was set to 47, Decided to adjust sprint to 49 and acceleration to 48 and am still absolutely loving it, haven't been this keen to really dig my teeth into manager mode since maybe FIFA 13.

I had the same problem last year but I didn't use any sliders to fix it. I simply outplayed myself and now find it pretty average winning 70% of the games approximately.

The restart match option is pretty useful when learning

No worries mate, every year I've been getting less and less enjoyment out of FIFA so absolutely stoked that I mistakenly stumbled on this fix and really hoping it finds its way to others as surely we're not the only ones.

So how is this working out for you all? I am in a similar boat and not sure what to do.
I feel like semi/manual playing professional seems ok but CPU really does not get many chances. WC is just too hard for me so my choices seem limited to

                          Professional - Semi/manual passing
                          WC - Assisted passing

I have never tried legendary because of my experience with WC.

                          UGH

I am using set 2 of the community sliders and I love the feel of the game now. Just getting the difficulty set is the hard part.

for me, cpu pass error is always the most effective way of fine tuning difficulty level in a way that lets the game still feel natural. it greatly influences the quality of their build-up. start at world class and increase cpu pass error in small increments until you find balance.

I've also played at the Professional difficulty until FIFA 17 because at the Pro level the game is super easy even with CPU marking and run at 100. Therefore I moved up to World Class and used the OS community sliders. To my surprise, the games are much more entertaining and nerve racking now.

I still see some strange things though. For example, I played Argentina vs Brazil and although Brazil dominated the entire game, I won 3-0. The CPU defense needs to be beefed up IMO because sometimes the last defenseman will change directions instead of pursuing my attacker thus allowing me to score an easy goal.
