It can't be just me, Someone else has to notice this, Since the patch and the new tuner, Playing Human,vs.CPU, play of the moment, or CPU vs CPU.. in offline franchise. The CPU teams PUNTER will only punt line drives for about 40 yds that bounce. It doesn't matter if its with the wind or against it. Every single punt is a low line drive. 3 games, same punt every time. I can't be the only person this is happening too. Some one else has to notice this. I didn't notice it immediately after the patch, really wasn't paying that much attention, Was watching for other things. But after the tuner, I am getting this every game. Does anyone else see this or am I just haunted with bad luck. ?

I had this happen on the first punt in the first post-patch game I played but haven't seen it since. Everything else has been a normal punt since then.

Yep just happened to me line drive punt by the CPU 29 yards. Also CPU running game is now terrible as well. Quarterbacks don't throw out of bounds like they use to instead just stand waiting to be sacked. Hmm I don't know shouldn't have download this patch had a great thing going before, was 3 and 6 with the Browns and now Iam beating the Ravens 23-0 at halftime. Maybe I'll trying deleting my profile see if that does anything

Dude, I'm experiencing the exact same thing as you. Played 2 games so far, and it's been awful...CPU ran for less than 2 ypc in both games, passing is unstoppable (both USER and CPU had >80% completion in both games), and I wiped the CPU out in both. I was loving the game before, but this sucks. However, I have seen this happen before...you get one version of game play, you make a small change, like play clock, or you delete the profile, and suddenly you get a different game, for better or worse. So, like you, I am going to mess around with deleting my profile and maybe the tuner, too.

Oh, and yes, I've seen those line-drive punts. The CPU did it every single punt in one game.

Dude this is happening to me too!

I'm playing my Patriots CFM, game 3 against Houston and EVERY SINGLE time they punt they do this low line drive right at my first row of players and one of them jumps on it, for a super short punt.

No one else is having this??

I can't even play all of a sudden.. I tried re-starting the game a couple times but it keeps happening.

Before the patch the issue was CPU popping punts into the wind about 20 yards. You guys are now see low liners about 35-40 yards bouncing in front of returner? Is it in both directions in a game? I'm watching CPU v CPU and so far just one half punter with the wind has hit normal trajectory 45 and 65 yard punts. In the direction I assume is against the wind I've seen that low line drive punt. My sample size is very small so I'll report back when I have more data. Check if this is happening on all your CPU punts or just in one direction in games. Also look to see if it also happens indoors. I'm definitely seeing high trajectory punts with the wind in this game. Just now into the wind a 45 yard normal punt. Need moe data.

I have seen in the game mccarron scramble for 12; the bengals go for it on 4th and one early from the colts 45 and mccarron called for an illegal forward pass. Two fumbles by colts wide outs.

Seems as if they might've nerfed the draft classes a little too much. Or maybe I'm just experiencing a bad draft class. So far 90% of the players scouted are either 7th round or undrafted talent.

Well at least I know now this isn't just me. But it is a complete GAME KILLER. I guess it just decides which Punter it is going to affect. Playing H2H probably don't matter because you will do your own punting but it is a killer to CPU. VS CPU. In my last test game, I was thrilled to see the CPU do a normal punt, But then, When my Browns, MY TEAM went to punt, It was my team doing the line drive punts.

So once again, POTM and CPU vs. CPU becomes unplayable. In the POTM mode, I can fix it by doing my own punting if it affects my punter, But if it is affecting the CPU punter. There is nothing you can do. It completely ruins the game.

I guess I will try a complete re-install and try not to DL the patch that was supposed to fix things, Not ruin them. Doesn't anyone test these things before they put it out. This is becoming more Frustrating than it is enjoyment. It is totally ridiculous and absolutely no EXCUSE for it.

I wouldn't even care if there was a work around, But there is not. Tried deleting profile, tuner, and nothing worked so it is in the patch. I think EA should pay me for all the time and effort that I have spent trying to make a broken game playable.

If anyone finds a solution, I would appreciate it if you would share.

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about. That's what I'm seeing all of a sudden. That low line drive that bounces in front of my guy.. EVERY single time the CPU punts.

This never happened before the patch...

Another weird thing is when I start a home game in my CFM (as Patriots) the announcers keep saying "Welcome to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey!" even though it's my home games at Gillette.

But this punt thing is ruining the game. I literally can't play a game against the CPU. WTF.

How do I un-install this patch? I want to see if that fixes it. I'm on PS4, please help.

Played the Bucs in my third game and lost 27-20. Was another fun game. I was up 20-7 and in full control and then just went dead on offense and couldn't stop them at all. Winston was putrid in the first half but led them on a TD drive just before halftime and then was great in the second half leading them to 17 fourth quarter points and the W.

Biggest plus since the patch is defense. Seeing a lot better WR/DB interactions and a lot more of them when I'm on defense as well which is very nice. My players don't feel so stupid and have been making nice plays and reacting like I'd hope and expect them to.

The fumbles are getting to be a bit much though. In three games I've played I've fumbled six times now. Seems like every time my QB gets hit it's a fumble. Had a play against the Bucs where I ran PA and didn't even have time to control my QB before he was hit and fumbled. Also had this which was interesting:

Still seeing some really boneheaded OL play as well but running the ball feels a lot better for me. I've actually finallly got the CPU running decent as well without it all being huge runs. Only had 4 CPU throwaways out of 12 incompletions but Winston was lights out from the first half two-minute warning on. Wind meter is still bugged too.

Had the AI punt against me 5 times in Dallas in my first played post-patch game, all were normal looking punts. Will try to play a (fully) outdoor stadium for my next game to see if it makes a difference.

Game was pretty good, Jacquizz Rodgers had a 4.2 YPC against me and my running game was solid too. Cutler was decent, but did some weird stuff in the pocket that led to sacks.

The qb tackling people after they intercept glitch is definitly not fixed i spam pressed tackle button as i ran stride for stride with a guy for 40 yards and he wont tackle

Bengals colts pre season had punt a g of 43 and 58 with a long of 77. Saw the line drive punt on the first into wind but not after. Worried the long with-the-wind punt will be the norm too. Just one game so will test more tomorrow.

Did get a defensive holding. Unfortunately a lot of false starts late on the last drive. Will need to tweak some sliders but their isn't a fix if the punts are as affected as some have seen.

My defense (and defense as a whole) seems to be reacting much better to the pass and run. I'm seeing DB's make plays on routes and the ball that I wasn't seeing before.

Another that I'm noticing that is better but I didn't see in the patch notes was that RB's seem a lot better at staying on their feet and not ragdolling to the ground when they make contact with anything. Pre-patch there were a ton of times where both user and CPU RB's would run into the back of lineman or reached out arms of the DL and just collapse or go into dead mode where they just fall to the ground. In my last too games I've noticed more "grinding" and bouncing off which is really nice.


Side note, really enjoying the game without commentary. Going to play another game and continue impressions.

The improved play of User defenders and the way RBs for both teams can stay on their feet and fight for yards are very solid stealth improvements that may go unnoticed by many.

Projected round is way off now, so you shouldn't make decisions based on that.

I'm glad they made this change, because it was too easy to find studs in late rounds. Hidden jewels that appear 5 times per round in the late draft aren't actually hidden. This means you have to actually make your picks count. If you find a good players projected late, then you should take him a little earlier now. Late rounds should be used on specialists for the bench.

I'm glad they made this change, because it was too easy to find studs in late rounds. Hidden jewels that appear 5 times per round in the late draft aren't actually hidden. This means you have to actually make your picks count. If you find a good players projected late, then you should take him a little earlier now. Late rounds should be used on specialists for the bench.

What if I'm in the playoffs right now? Did this effect my existing class or just next year when a new class is generated?

I like the change, because like you said, most of my drafts were like 75+ overall for everyone. But to have almost everyone I scout turn out to be undrafted potential? Ehh..
