Loose balls go back to the offensive team WAY TOO MUCH

This has got to be one of the worst problems with gameplay that's been a legacy issue for years and seems even worse now. So, so many times you do a good defensive plays like stripping the ball loose or blocking a shot and the ball IMMEDIATELY warps back to the offensive team for an instant score.

There doesn't seem to be such a proper thing as a 50/50 ball in this game, to the point you get PUNISHED for doing a good defensive possession. It's ridiculous and needs addressing.

Stuff like this just makes you not want to play the game. You're literally at a disadvantage on defense.

You guys know I cant stand exaggerations to get a point across but I had this happen five times in a row on one possesion last night....all under the basket.

Had he hit what eventually led to a open 3 I may have raged a bit, lol

Happens a lot at the park. It seemed like they toned down on ball steals or something

Yep, the cpu recovers from loose balls, turnovers, blocked shots etc. at a 95% rate. Its simply not balanced. Maybe 2k wants to punish good human defenders that know how to exploit defensive mechanics too much this way...

It happens so much during a course of a game Ive become numb to the loose balls. Ive been preaching about making 50/50 balls 50/50.

What throws me into a rage is all 5 of my players being out of position. The cpu knows the outcome of the loose balls and they are all in perfect position to make a play.

This and the lead passes to the big man are the two things that make me shake my head the most.

It sucks royally but I can see why the system is in place. To compensate for user steals. It's easier to steal more with good defenders like Rondo so this happens to him at least 4 times a game. Every so often, he'd get that steal. Cheap but its definitely a design choice. As long as the final TO/steal numbers look good by games end, I'll be alright.

This is my same view on the issue... it's by game choice and your understanding on why is how I see it too.

A legitimate 50:50 ball would require fairer ball physics, fairer collision physics, elimination of unnatural offensive speed boosts to recover a loose ball and of course: a more disciplined steal system. I'm not sure which of these is at the core in this mix of variables but ya they all play a role in getting us a 50:50 live ball.

I sleep fine over it though again based on my understanding of the why it is there.. without it I'd have to refrain myself from stealing because it's already cheesy easy.. they could increase foul rates but again this is part of the discipline role in the steal system and defense in general. They could also work on programming the AI to protect the ball better against reachers and also program AI not to spam dribbles in the paint lol

This happens in online games too. The gifs I posted are from the same PNO game and it happened to both my opponent and I.

It's tough playing D online so when I get a cheated out of turnovers like that it's such a slap in the face.

I didn't pay careful attention to that detail: I was under assumption those recoveries were done by CPU... that's savage af..

Nah, lol this most definitely happens online.

I mean I could sort of understand this happening offline against the CPU since they always get those sort of breaks but online it's unacceptable. I've had games where I knock the ball loose 3-4 times in one possession and my opponent recovers it every single time.

At first I thought it was me just not being quick enough to the loose balls but now I see that offensive players literally have an advantage over defensive players on loose balls.
