    ODU : Building a Monarchy

Years of lurking, and recently starting to ask questions has led me to this. I will be attempting my first ever NCAA 14 Dynasty Blog. I will be working this blog a little slower so that I can enjoy my dynasty, this blog, and it works best with my schedule. A big shoutout to rhs_rizzo for answering my questions about doing a blog, he really gave me the confidence to start planning one. Another shoutout to Bookwork123 for showing me what a blog without photos can be if you have a great storyline to go with it. So onto the basics of this blog:

    System : Xbox 360
    Rosters : Cajunomics 2016 Roster
    Sliders : Matt10
Difficulty : Offense (Heisman), Defense (All-American), Recruiting (All-American)

This will be of course the 2013 season. The ODU Monarchs are just joining the FBS level and I will start them as an Independent. I have adjusted the schedule to make it tougher (since I want to be challenged). The original schedule had the Monarchs playing 4 games against the FCS, but I decided to change it to 1 and added a few Power 5 challenges to the schedule.

My goal in this is to build the Monarchs from a FCS power team (38-10 since the relaunch of the program) into a team to be reckoned with in the FBS. All school records will be from the program relaunch in 2009 onto the 2012 season. All records from the previous 11 seasons (1930-1941) will not exist.

So with that being said, let's Build the Monarchy.

Many thanks go out to those who have answered my questions about this process and allowed me to lurk and research: rhs_rizzo, jello1717, Tearz49ers, Bookwork123, Matt10 (Go Beavs!), LopaKa, Cajunomics (Rosters) and many others.

Re: ODU : Building a Monarchy

Old Dominion is proud to announce our schedule for the 2013 Season. We are going to compete as an Independent this season and will either join the C-USA or Sun Belt Conference for the 2014 season. Five of the games will be shown on Cox TV as part of a two year TV agreement between the University and the network. Old Dominion will announce our Head Coach that will lead us into the season tomorrow along with an outlook towards the 2013 season.

They look to have a decent roster built around a running game. I've created a playbook that looks to utilize that to the fullest extent.

                              Thanks man I appreciate it.

I will be giving a quick preseason review of the team and coach shortly. Planned on it this morning, ended up breaking my phone and spent the majority of it trying to get it repaired. So preview this evening, game one tomorrow.
