I agree the basketball's game is deeper in FM and Madden needs a more of a deep FM.

Gameplay wise, I'd call it a draw, but that is as far as I take that statement or else I'm further taking away from the thread.

As far as FG's goal, I must be outside the norm of other OSer's, because when the wind is against me, my kickoffs reach the 15 or 20 yd line. Also, last game I played, the CPU missed a 55 yarder wide right with plenty of distance with the wind.

I just don't have the muscle memory that others have for FG's here. I only play one game per day because my games already eat up 1hr and 15 minutes of my time.

I am actually probably going to delete the game and reinstall without the patch. It seems to me that the developers are doing the same thing that the previous ones did, just in the opposite direction. If they are going to continue to insist on only catering to one part of the player base instead of everybody, then they need to make franchise like NBA 2k's my league so that the players can decide their playing experience, not a bunch of whiners.

Don't get this the wrong way, not a whole lot of people play in my particular style either because I don't play completely sim, but I don't play completely arcade either, I consider myself as playing somewhere in between, but I'm getting tired of other people's complaining dictating my playing experience instead of me. That's why I don't really care what anybody says, NBA 2k's my league it's one of the best franchise modes out there, because of the amount of control it gives the player.

EA needs to accept the fact that somebody else is doing it better than them and take some notes from them, because Madden's franchise mode sorely needs it.

It seems as though with the digital versions of games now, the game data is automatically updated to its current version. So basically in other words, I'm now forced to play with these "fixes" that only there because they caved to whiners.

Great. If I could get my money back, I would consider it but I can't so.

Yeah. The only way is to:
1.- never install the patch. And losing all online features.
2.-buy disc version and avoid update and also lose all online feature.

Yea. It is so nice, to be stuck with a bunch of "fixes" that never should've been made. I just love being punished for buying the digital version.

Is there a way to do this on a disk but still have the most recent roster updates? I have a saved roster I would like to use but don't know how to keep the roster but delete the patch. I don't mind disabling the online features since I play off-line CFM anyways.

And I think my history speaks for itself. I'm not overly critical or a complainer. I just can't ignore what I see.

I still think the game plays solid it just has a two generic teams playing each other feel to it now.

Like the Even teams is always turned on.

Now that I have played a lot of games with the new patch (online ranked, Draft Champions, Online Franchise head to head, and play now/ franchise v the CPU) I've changed my opinion.

I'm not happy with most changes they have made.

I do like how the force players are playing outside zone better but, honestly I didn't have trouble stopping those before.

Kicking is just ridiculously easy for me now. My last online franchise head to head game me and my opponent where nailing 58 yarders easy. I wasn't even close one time according to the accuracy meter it still was dead on. I'm using the same kicker with the same ratings that I did pre patch.

- I loved the challenge before. I actually had a kicking advantage over most opponents because I practiced. I still had to really concentrate though. I also knew if it was over 50 I would struggle so field position was important. Now it's just mindless.

-OL DL doesn't account for ratings anymore.

I don't know what happened but, your OL won't matter anymore. 60 overalls will basically block the same as 90 overalls.

Just draft a bad team on purpose in a fantasy draft franchise or play draft champions without drafting OL DL. Won't matter much if at all. I've done both.

-QB's are about the same now.

My Rams QB Kennom was tough to use pre patch. I was around 57%. Now he can't miss. Same ratings.

I purposely didn't draft a QB in draft champions and used 70 over Conner Cook. Bad OL and all. I'm 3-0 so far and he's thrown for about 75-80% so far. He'll miss occasionally but, not much.

-Finally, ratings matter less than ever now IMO.

I shouldn't be able to draft the draft champions team I drafted and win how I'm winning.

I'm passing almost every time and using dime and nickel every time just to test.

My opponent has had elite DL that can't get pressure and they can't run against dime and nickel.

So I give the new patch a thumbs down. I don't support the direction they are going.

Roadman, I respect and value your opinion as I do charters. If I'm not mistaken, you play on all-pro. I'm assuming charter is still playing all madden, which is kinda getting a thumbs down around here post patch. Seems like that to me lately.

Our online franchise is All Madden.

The rank games and draft champions are All Pro of course.

I'm seeing the same thing on All Madden it's just globally more difficult
