New Shot Glitch

I've been experiencing this for the past couple days. started in my career and I've tested it numerous times since. I go up for the jump-shot and the game doesn't register that I released the x button (I'm on xboxone)

tested again not on mycareer (to see if it was like the shot meter glitch) and got the same results.

I have also tested my x button on other games and I have no problem with it sticking so I'm assuming this is another 2k glitch. Please help.

Have you tried another controller? Perhaps the one you're using isn't working correctly with 2k.

I only have one but it would seem odd that my (pretty new) controller only has a problem with one game. Sorry for not doing more of my due diligence but I'm trying to see if this is just happening to me before a fork 60 dollars on a new controller

So I have 4 controllers, 2 of which are my brothers. My friend came over one day and I decided to play him 1v1. During the match I was using my brothers controller and this was happening to me. I tried every single comtroller and this only happened with that one controller. I asked my bro if his controllers X button was broken and he said it works fine in every other game. It's weird but yeah it's the controller, have you tried updating it? If you'd like I will provide video proof whilst recording the controller so you can be convinced.

This happens to me on PC until I play 10-ish minutes of the game and then it is normal as always. It's why I go to practice to warm myself up.

I have had this happen on my XBOX one only one controller. It is very weird and sporadic only on one controller. This was before the patch on XBOX and it is only with 2K17. I updated both controllers software but it only happens on one controller. It is weird.

I've had this happen to me in MyPark, on Xbox One. It's not the Shot Meter glitch where it would cut back to the middle on release, it looks exactly like OP's post where it entirely doesn't register that I released the shot.

thanks for the feedback guys. Is there anything I can do besides buying a new controller?
