Max out your post, get your post spin technician, drop stepper and your up and under dream like badges and have your strength max out as well, no one would be able to hold you in the post except a rim protector, glass cleaner or another LDD. You dont have to worry about Rim Protector or LDD because you barely see those in da park so would would do damage in the post. Also you finish well around the rim really good which is a plus!!!! I have an 94AF and my LDD finishes waaayyyy better at da rim than my AF!!! But all in all, the speed with ball does not outweight everything else that the LDD brings to the team. You will be able to shut anyone down on offense with your D and you will have fun doing it!!!!
Very interesting.im guessing the most effective position for LDD is PF or C.?

Not gonna lie...I made a Sharpshooter, a slasher, and a LDD...by far my favorite SG is my LDD...like it's not even close...I almost ALWAYS outplay my opponent unless I have to help and rotate on defense OR they hide behind a bunch of moving screens...seriously my strength isn't even maxed and it's already in the 70s...I mostly get to the rim so I'm mad I maxed out my 3pt shooting..wish I put those towards my post and maxing my strength, maybe even towards rebounds...I grab a lot of boards..I average 12ppg in proAm and I'm usually my teams 3rd or 4th option on offense..but everyone loves to shoot 3s so I just leak out on all those long bricks and pretty much only a playmaker or another LDD (which I never see) can catch you on the break..I just tell my guys to pass it to me soon as I create some separation so that SWB isn't an issue on the fast breaks...I don't even have a BUNCH of badges on him yet but when I get them..geez..

I have been currently working on my first PG..he's a playmaker...I did this because everyone else on my team loves to shoot so our PG made a sharpshooter SG and since I enjoy distributing we decided to try trading places...I might stick with my LDD and let him run point though...I LOVE the LDD that much..I knew defense would be the key..I'm trying to convince my team to run 4 LDDs and a Glass cleaner or 5 defensive players..

Seriously..after the first quarter of most proAm games my opponent stops shooting..even if he's a 95 sharpshooter...HOF defensive stopper kills all those badges...it's badge Kryptonite and turns everyone into mere mortals lol

You'll beat big men down the floor, but every other position under the sun can chase you down and get in front of you on the break.

Now if you're running the floor on the break without the ball? Ain't nobody catching up to you.
Even with a relatively low speed with ball, I can still take it coast to coast with my LD PF just by catching the other team off guard. Plus having a high strength means I can finish through contact even if a defender gets back.

I have a small forward lockdown that plays at power forward, easily my favorite player I've ever made in 2k. Luckily the archetype will never be popular because you have to know how to play off the ball, but if you know how to use it you're going to be a huge problem for the other team. A lot of teams don't guard me at first, but I can make jumpers from 1 step in from the 3 line, and when you make a couple they overreact and run out to you.

              Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

When I use my 6'6 LDD SG I score most of my points from beating my man down the court. I come across so many people every single day that don't know how to get back on defense, don't know how to guard a cutter, and I abuse it. Occasionally I will set a pick and roll to about the mid-range and take the easy middy.

Yesterday I was playing 3v3 with randoms, Had a stretch big and a sharpshooter on my team. We got up to a 9 game win streak. Sharpshooter would bring the ball up, I would set him a screen, He would either shoot the 3 and I would get the reb with my god-like rebounding attributes and pass back to one of them. I had 4 off rebs in 1 possesion.
              My Players:
6'6 SG 94 Overall Slashing Defender
6'5 SG 90 Overall Pure Sharpshooter
              6'8 SF 81 Overall Two-Way Slasher
              Active Daily on 2K, I play 2s, 3s & Walk-on.
If you're active and would like to run Park or Walk-on Shoot me a PSN Message and we can get some games in.

I get around 6rpg when I use my point forward who has a 66 rebound rating I think.
Rebounding is ok . Maxed at 72 and I can hang with glass cleaners . It's weird though if I'm boxing out a guard my guy will not grab the rebound. It'll literally bounce off of him. It could be just one of those weird 2k quirks.

On defense though it makes no sense for sharpshoooters with low layup ratings finishing over me and I have defensive stopper, rim protector , and chase down artist. It fees like I'm not even there. And no I don't have T-Rex arms .

Think Ima go with a PF 6'10 LDD over the SF 6'8 . I rather have rim protector HOF than pick pocket HOF

wow i didnt realize so many ppl were on the LDD train.

i have one too, 6'8" 240lb SG LDD. i really love my 6'9 300lb GC, but i love my LDD even more!!!

i can do EVERYTHING!! i just have to be smart about my moves. this is going to sound crazy but my LDD literally plays like Lebron James. all my boys yesterday kept saying " i dont understand how youre able to do everything and youre a LDD."

heads up to all the LDD - max your strength!!!!!! GET YOUR HOF BADGES!!!!!!!

And thats da reason i dont play with my 94Af, they get punked under da rim on offense and defense. I honstley feels like the AF are da weakest archetype, sharpshooyers shoot and are gud at it, glass cleaners are gud at what they do, playmakers are gud at what they do, stretch bigs ect, but AF cant finish around da rim for nothing. No contact dunks and this is da archetype but its useless

We have a 7 foot atheltic finisher on the team and he is an absolute monster. No one can stop him around the rim. he posterizes everything in his sight.

through 15 games he is averaging 22ppg on 85% shooting.

Hm, through 70 pro am games I have yet to run into a LDD that is a do it all player. I did have 1 own me in the park 3v3 because everytime he pressed X he would strip me which was frustrating. But in pro am in an organized offensive system they can be negated. Yeah, some weird shhh happens from time to time when you are around LDD but nothing crazy or comparable to a sharpshooter raining 3 after 3 when left open.
