You have a post scorer now ? cool . What system are you on?

I got all the post badges on my athletic finisher and they were well worth the grind. It's so funny to see myself getting double teams in every park or pro am game I play.

Surprisingly I don't see a lot of athletic finishers. Mostly glass cleaners and stretch bigs.

Anyone enjoying their Slasher? 6'8 SF Slasher and not getting as many contact dunks that we should.

        I'm on PS4, same S/N.

I have four players - Lockdown, Rim protector, Point Forward and Post Scorer. I mostly use my lockdown in pro-am, but we haven't played with our team since we found out teams were getting losses if one person gets dropped, so we just do walk on for now and I get to use my post scorer.

It's pretty much all glass cleaners and stretch bigs, which is why I made the post scorer, because their defense can get exposed if you have the shooting to make them pay for doubling. I have HOF drop stepper so far, but there's some moves I've found that can be chained together, you can do a post spin into a shimmy post turn around if you time it right. He'll even do the Hakeem shoulder fake, so you'll drive middle, then without pause go right into a shake and turn baseline for the shot, it's unguardable. I'll post a gif of it when I can

Post game benefits in 17 are very underrated.

I have an AF buddy whose post game leaves me in awe. He has those finisher badges on HOF and my god. I'm more impresses by the AF with his HOF badges and post badges on bronze than a Post Scorer with HOF badges and finisher badges on bronze. When the Grand Badge is activated ayye-yi-yi...

That's great to hear your rewarding impression! Have fun out there with the new build - you already are 😊

            Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

So after much deliberating and experimenting across a handful of different Shot Creator builds... I have decided to commit to 6ft4 Shot Creator PG. He's listed at 185 pounds with a 6ft5 wingspan. As a confidence booster: I had a homie join my court with his 7ft3 340 pound glass cleaner and when he saw my player he said he was surprised he was only 6ft4. I guess he was impressed and thought he looked much taller so that's very reassuring. I had the same impression that my 6ft4 model could still be considered a lengthy PG but also still be considered shifty. 6ft3 felt like it just missed the threshold to be considered lengthy and 6ft5 was just a zone I felt I didn't need to be in.

I'm looking forward to using this build off the screens and working the middy wing area A LOT. I'm going to dominate that space with moving shots. I'm also looking forward to being able to come off a screen and splash a moving 3 without worrying about having to set my feet.

My next build I'm inspired to use is a 6ft4 Slashing PG inspired by the likes of Baron Davis, Steve Francis, and Derrick Rose. I spot something key in the Slashing build and that's their moving shot ability which looks highly underrated and highly overlooked. I haven't seen any Slashing builds using this in their repotoire at least effectively but shout outs to *ViolenceFight* who alluded to being able to wet moving shots with his Slasher! 😊

Im not hellbent on having a sharpshooter because I am not obsessed with being a volume 3pt shooter or a volume shooter at any rate. I love the middle man game and being able to take a 3 here and there but also mainly being a force that can break down the defense and setup for my teammates. If I could have 2 archetypes then yes one of my builds would consist of a Sharpshooter eventually like a Playmaker Sharpshooter but even then I'll choose Playmaker Shot Creator / Slasher over the 3pt build in priority.

REading this I'm just like Why dont you create a 6'6 play maker instead? Shto creators are slow, mediocre passers and get stripped. I know because i play with pg that is one.

How do people find the shooting % for a shot creator at the 90 - 94 attribute mark? I'm somewhat torn between continuing to play MyCareer with my SC and just starting over with a slasher since I find myself driving or even posting up a lot more than trying to look for an opportunity to pull up, since at around 80 they go in at a miserable enough rate that it feels like I'm not taking a smart shot even when I'm wide open. Now, I could spend the VC to upgrade it, but it's going to be real expensive and that's VC I could be dumping on a new dude.

Please do, I've never faced a Post Scorer before and I'd like to see if I would have any chance against one lol

                        Variation

Playing against a 90 rim protector

Next time went over the other shoulder

Nothing, except being potentially bigger. It's just a matter of preference.

Tall point fowards seem to do everything well. They seem to slash better than actual slashers. Seem to shoot as good as shot creators . Really fast with the ball and can dunk. Defensively they have the length to guard 1-4. I hate getting matched up with one.
My friend made a point forward and isnt for him. He cant shoot threes and only post people up 90% of the time.

My primary build is a Playmaker 6ft6 PG. I like that I can use the Shot Creator for more shooting versatility.
