Drafted a Rookie who has minus confidence?
I just finished drafting a rookie MLB with SS dev trait and he has -2 confidence? he fits my scheme being a runstopper and I drafted 2 MLB's and he is the only one with -2 confidence impacting his attributes.. but why?Tags: None -

Hmmm... Negative confidence... My guess is he must have either been recently demoted or perhaps he's had a lot of head trauma. Concussions are no joke.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Dude you do sound pretty right considering his backstory was that he was a former boxer & with his 95 hit power I'm sure he had a concussion or two in college lol... so that could be somewhat true but I just drafted him and had no games yet and he has -2 confidence so is this a glitch or just normal?Comment

Same thing happened to me. I drafted an MLB in the fifth round who had 40 confidence which was reducing his ratings.
He then broke his ribs in the first pre-season game.Comment

Interesting. Thanks for passing this along. That said, advancing to preseason will restore all CONF ratings to 50 each season for all players, so this should not be an issue for more than that isolated Draft Recap week.Comment

I don't know about this years game but in previous years since there has been player confidence you could see the reason for confidence going up or down. The draft definitely had an impact both on newly drafted players as well as players already on your roster.
If you drafted a player who didn't fit your scheme he might have a penalty to confidence because he "didn't know the playbook". Or if you drafted a stud WR your QB might get a boost because of that.Comment
