Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
Is it me or is anyone bored and tired of Madden 17 , I mean where a couple of months in and I feel very disappointed in this game. It's too scriptive and has the feeling of magnetism again. It's bs things have to change by this point I really wish 2k can get the rights please or EA has to make dramatic changes, what does everyone thinks about this please convince me otherwise.Tags: None -

Nah, every time i fire up the game i'm extremely impressed with it. Game play is pretty much as good as it's ever been, graphics are outstanding, it's a hugely improved game in my opinion.
My problem is, and i know this is going to sound like a broken record, but the damn cfm missing website. I'm just not that involved with my team and it sucks.
Part of the fun for me is taking time reviewing stats, comparing match ups, viewing other game results, etc.
I just dont have the time to do it all from the console. Totally destroys the emersion factor."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Agree with this. I just uninstalled it the other day, Play Now games are only fun for me for so long and CFM just has too many issues for me to put time into it.Comment

Re: Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
It lacks a certain personality, but it's just so good. I think it's easier to appreciate from my perspective, someone who struggled to get the old team to do what this new team is doing (for which I was labelled as disagreeable and argumentative... yes, I argued against continuing to develop crap, sorry not sorry) so I'm definitely still into it.
It still lacks some of the magic of a 2k5 or Head Coach 09, but it's moving forward by leaps about bounds.

Re: Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
I still find myself booting it up everyday, even though I'm telling myself to play more Gears or BF1, which I just dropped a ton of cash on. And BF1 is some of the most fun I've had with a FPS in a long time.
I will admit that I play MUT and DC almost exclusively. I was playing almost all DC, but I have gotten my MUT team to a point where I can play the Salary Cap MUT. The two modes just scratch similar, but different itches.
DC is all about that single day fantasy draft feel. You craft a team, and try to knock out 6 wins before you lose twice. SC MUT is about building and crafting a team over a long haul. My first team was good, but I'm not going through the process of buying and selling players to fallout different chemistry components.
I do wish MUT would be like HUT and track the star of players you use over the long haul. I would love to look back and compare the stats of different guys I used.
I've played some franchise, and it's fine. But there is something a bit more immediate about MUT and DC.Comment

Re: Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
I'm not bored with it yet and haven't really gotten close. Seems like everytime I play something wows me. Whether I'm making a crazy juke or some clutch play that leaves me speechless, or I'm enjoying an exciting NFL draft and trying to fill the holes on my team. I've always got something fun going on and something fun to look forward to. It has its problems, but I have not had this much fun on Madden this far into the season since the PS2 days. That being said I get where a lot of people come from with their dislike for the game. It still has plenty of issues. I do a lot of self handicapping, editing, and things like that to try and keep things realistic that I wouldn't expect most people would enjoy doing.Comment

Nope, I look forward to playing the game everyday. As someone who goes back to the Atari 2600 football days, this is my favorite football game ever, and it isn't even close, YMMVJordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

I'm not bored - it's a new Madden and I'm addicted to Madden But aside from that I completely agree with the OP, the scripting and magnetism is worse than ever.Comment

Re: Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
Yes, or rather, bored of waiting for punting to be fixed. Haven't played since they broke it, so weeks.
Prior to that, I was playing every day. With no indication of when the punt patch will be out, I'm not sure how much longer I can talk myself out of trading it in on 2K17.Comment

Re: Are you bored with Madden 17 yet
Just the opposite for me. I finally have sliders locked in (see KingV2K's arena) and am realizing that lots of what folks complain about regarding this year's game is not actually a problem with the game, but a problem with how we've been taught to play Madden by past iterations that were less strategic in nature.
I'm actually geeking out right now on NYKia's Tampa 2 series and am putting in serious lab time to understand the intricacies of this year's defensive scheme improvements.
I may have to put up some house rules regarding scouting, drafting, and FA so that my team doesn't outstrip the rest of the league talent-wise, but in terms of strategic depth, I'll get at least three seasons out of the current scheme experiment with the cover two stuff, and I'll have several more seasons of playability with the ability to morph into a cover three scheme, etc.
They need to improve immersion in CFM and they probably need to make scouting and drafting harder, but I think this game has the capacity to stay in the spinner longer than any previous Madden for me.Comment
