To all the SLASHERS! Lets talk Mid Air Change Shot!

Hey y'all, Im sure your game is changing since 1.05, so I would like to get a little knowledge base on the implemented layup mechanics. I am mostly interested to understand how the mid air change shot works.

Feel free to post your experiences or simply answer the following questions if you can. I would also LOVE to get Beluba in here. I am sure he wants to give us some love after all these weeks of suffering

    - What counts as the release? The first release or the second mid air change deflection of the right stick?

    - Does every layup animation have more than one "change shot" animation, depending on the direction you deflect the stick? Or is it irrelevant where you point to?

    - How does a "self inflicted" change shot (right stick) compare to the ones your player sometimes does automatically?

    - How much does the quality of your layup suffer from the alteration

    ... etc etc.

Also guys, if you have sick videos, here is a place to share it.

The Double Clutch has a multitude of animations depending on the situation. I believe Mike said that it uses rating, as there's no actual timing for it.

Is this the go-to shot for slashers?

Slashers have been pretty easy to guard for me, since their Archetype Name tells you exactly what they plan to do. That said, I feel like Mid Air Change Shots would be your best friend?

It's not. The go to is still punching it on top of anyone too stupid to stay in the restricted area.

Most Slashers are very easy to guard, because most of the ones in park do not use all the tools available to them. They also try to force it through 2 people at the rim way too often, then complain that they should be able to barrel straight into traffic without penalty.

The archtype is way more dangerous than it gets any credit for.

          ^This^

Had one put up 30+ in ProAm against us. And yeah it was walk-on, but it was how he was using him.

Hit enough J's from the outside to keep us off balance and had a variety of moves in the paint. Even a couple posts moves.
