I think they did some cool things in M17 but overall it just isn't enjoyable for me. Terrible line play/animations, CPU QBs slowly moving laterally until they take a sack, and just Blitz like tackle breaking - you know, where you push 'X' during a tackle and you punch the defender to the ground... Terrible tackling where a group of players fall like bowling pins... Annnnnd to top it off I think the CPU playcalling is at an all-time worst.

Playing online might be fun, but no matter what I've done with sliders I cannot fix the aforementioned problems.

I've literally tried every set on these forums with my own variations of each. From Rookie to All Madden. I understand it is a video game and it will have it's flaws, but when compared to other sports games Madden is just really lagging behind.

At the end of the day I just want ratings to matter and I cannot figure out how to do that in M17 so I've went back to M16/not playing at all.
I might go back to M16. What slider set were you using for those?
