To me, it is quite obvious. The reason the long FG attempts and logic is simply not important to EA. They are only concerned with the OL people. ON LINE people play head to head, they don't have the CPU attempting FG's. And OL sim leagues simply sim the games. Like it or not, OFF LINE franchise are the minority and once you purchase the game from EA, they aren't going to make any more money from you. Franchise takes a back seat to every other feature in the game. If EA could find away to get rid of it and still keep the same volume of sales. It would be gone. Only reason it is there now is because us old timers still play it. But patches, for OFF LINE FRANCHISE, is the last thing EA is concerned with and it is showing more and more every year.

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I doubt this will change your mind CC, but this was a recent exchange between a OS poster and Clint:
EA doesn't care about ppl who are playing only CFM offline because we don't buy packs. Only matter is $$$$$$.
false. made biggest Franchise investment ever in '17 & metrics show players deeper into CFM than ever b4. I am a Franchise playerComment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I'm glad you have the faith Roadman. Someone has too I guess. I have lost it completely and now I am simply angry that I wasted 60 dollars on a game I can't play. I don't know if you meant you are a franchise player in your post or if you meant Clint was. I know you are, But if CLINT is, then he has to notice that this is a huge issue. Or he only plays Human too human and never plays the CPU. I honestly can't see how anyone could enjoy Franchise play, especially anyone playing POTM against the CPU with this Kicking issue. And the game still freezes in many instances after a score in POTM. Once it does this, there is nothing you can do but delete it and start again.
Nearly every game is ruined because of a 60 yd FG attempt or a short 25 yd punt putting yourself or the CPU team in excellent field position especially in crucial moments. I realize you have stated several times just sim the punts and FG. Simming does not add distance or change the outcome of the punt or a FG, you just don't see it. I know, I have tried over and over again.
There is absolutely no excuse for this not to have been fixed after all this time. The game has many flaws, I can live with them, but I refuse to play wondering if it is going to freeze or if I will lose a game because I have to punt knowing it's only going to go 25 yds max and I can't do a darn thing about it. That just completely kills the game. I wish the simming punts would be a work around, but it is not.
If I could simply return the game for a full refund, I wouldn't be so dam mad, But I personally feel I have been screwed over and I have no options other than to eat it. EA refuses to respond to the issue, Can't get a refund, so all I can do is voice my frustration.
As I have said a hundred times, I purchased this game for one reason and ONE reason only, For Franchise mode, CPU vs. CPU, and the fact that you could play a reasonable game of FB using POTM. Had it not had and advertised these features, I wouldn't have bought it.
You can defend EA as much as you like, and I have nothing but complete respect for you, but it’s been well over two months without a patch of any kind other than for MUT and online players. That is simply inexcusable. When I do something right, No one ever remembers.

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
There was a tuner update at the end of October, October 28th to be exact.
Another quote from Clint 2 days ago:
Our updates are generally about 8-10 weeks apart.Have to find bug, fix it, test it & get it certified.
So, I don't know when the last title update was, I'm just giving you a timeline for you to go by if it helps.
I respect your opinion too and you can make all the noise you want, but it won't shorten that timeline above by any stretch or means.Last edited by roadman; 11-18-2016, 08:34 PM.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I dont know, i just had a blowout win in my cfm game. Im now 2-12 in season one. I missed 2 extra points, and 2 field goals in this game. That Gd kicking meter is well inside my head..
EDIT: anyhow, they just said on sunday night football, just today, 12 extra points missed.Last edited by BadAssHskr; 11-20-2016, 11:30 PM."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
FWIW I tweeted Clint this GIF yesterday:
<div style='position:relative;padding-bottom:57%'><iframe src='https://gfycat.com/ifr/ImpishVengefulAss' frameborder='0' scrolling='no' width='100%' height='100%' style='position:absolute;top:0;left:0;' allowfullscreen></iframe></div>
And asked him why there was no penalty when hitting the accuracy in the light blue area and this was his response:
which is pretty much in line with what I saw when I did my testing. The penalty in that area needs to be WAY more severe because as it stands it's not even noticeable IMO. As long as you hit the accuracy in the light blue area I don't think there is any chance of missing a FG or XP barring a poorly aimed kick arrow.there is, it's just slight. Light blue is uprights, dark is perfect; further is very inaccurateComment

Seriously, I added onto your tweet, but I'm not sure it will be answered.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I wouldn't get your hopes up for a fix for this this year.
I tweeted Clint after DD sent tape of the 62 yarder, and I said offline it's much easier to hit.
Clint said, I don't disagree with that, but online is still pretty tough.
Now more than ever, they will need a solution to separate the issues of lag vs non-lag and online vs offline and Clint has been mentioning this the last month.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
So basically the online community get's all the special treatment while the offline community is left kicking rocks. Please at least fix the kick accuracy slider!I wouldn't get your hopes up for a fix for this this year.

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
Unfortunately, EA's decision to merge online and offline for Madden 13 and beyond is starting to take it's toll.
There was a thread in hear right after the tuning update came out from people in other countries that were happy EA lessened the lag for them.
And as Fist as found out, this was a design decision.
It would be nice if they fixed the slider sensitivity, but I'm not convinced that is the direction they will go in.Comment

I just Tweeted Rex, Clint and John White about at least fixing the kick accuracy slider for offline CFM. I'll post if they respond.Unfortunately, EA's decision to merge online and offline for Madden 13 and beyond is starting to take it's toll.

EDIT: Clint just tweeted back asking what's wrong with the kick accuracy slider. I told him that if you go below 30 you will see a complete shank without any user input. Also stated that we would like to be able to set the slider down to ZERO to at least give us a challenge and also directed him to this thread on OS.
EDIT 2: Clint just tweeted back again stating "We'll look into it". This was also with Rex & John White tagged in.Last edited by JayD; 11-21-2016, 04:16 PM.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
That's awesome. When Mrprice asked him, he was told it was a design decision. It looked dead in the water at that point. Maybe something will get done.I just Tweeted Rex, Clint and John White about at least fixing the kick accuracy slider for offline CFM. I'll post if they respond.

The actual number is 28 I believe for the slider causing auto shank with no weather conditions.
They would be able to see it right away and replicate the issue. Put it at 20 go into practice and watch everything shank.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

I asked the the same question in DD's tweet.I just Tweeted Rex, Clint and John White about at least fixing the kick accuracy slider for offline CFM. I'll post if they respond.

It's good we have participation, thanks JayD.
Fist, I thought it was dead in the water too with your statement about a design decision.Comment
