Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.06 Available Now For PS4 & Xbox One, Patch Notes Included
Here is the video I was talking about earlier. This is MyCareer. See how I get turned around suddenly and walk backwards when the CPU starts his layup animation? I did not let go of the left stick and didn't hit any buttons. This happens whenever the CPU makes a critical pass or goes for dunks/layups or in general when his animations take a longer time. During this time you basically slow down or get pulled away. That is what makes it feel so sluggish. I don't know what is causing this but it is a major issue!

It should not be firing on the user though, and anyway, should not be firing in that situation with the play already under the basket. So I'm guessing that's a bug.Comment

Nice to know that the shot meter glitch is back in Pro Am.
Taking this garbage right back out of my system.Comment

Haha I'm with you. I cringe everytime a time out is called. I'd prefer them to remove the audio completely and have the head coach address the team with no audio. It would be much better than every team having the same exact head coach that says nothing of use. Don't know how many times I heard the line "we are letting one guy kill is out there."Comment

I'd rate the improvements a 7.5 / 10
Overall a decent experience. The bumps are literally smoothed out thanks to the bumping and collision system that has been tuned. I especially like the new inbound rule that is enforced: it's a gentleman rule and I dig that.

Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.06 Available Now For PS4 & Xbox One, Patch Notes Included
Impressions:
Last night around 8:30 i downloaded the patch. I jumped in a 12 minute game on HOF TWolves (me) vs Nuggets. I had pretty low expectations because since the first patch or so i felt like my players were running in mud, everything took so long to develop the game didn't *feel* smooth and i felt like I was always fighting with the game to do the things i wanted to do.
Well, that feeling is gone now the smoothness of 2k is back. I finally felt in control and not a slave to animations and sluggishness of controls. Fast Breaks finally feel alive and apparently this is without the ACE updates so i can only imagine how much better they will feel.
On defense i feel like its more read react as the computer doesn't take ahour to get into a set...although i do think this can be improved even more.
All in all i like the patch. I didn't play mycareer and i probably wont I'm not sure. But i actually feel like playing 2k now and i'm happy the "fun" feeling has returned.
These are my opinions they aren't to be taken as fact and i didn't spend much time taking the game apart as many of you do. I play video games for fun not to be upset.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.06 Available Now For PS4 & Xbox One, Patch Notes Included
Didn't get a chance to update patch. Sorry for being negative but I dont have even the slightest hope for My Career mode. But, I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for some of these fixes. Can someone confirm?
1. Fast break with created player cpu speed burst behind you touches your player causing him to stops dead on tracks. Was this fixed?
2. My player dribbles bumps cpu player, ball drops, and can't dribble any longer. Still there or gone?
3. CPU AI defense playing brick wall defense and pulling, sticking like glue, hip riding, your player unable to get separation. Gone or still there?
4. My player on defense feels like feet are stuck in mud no free movement gone or still there?
Even if 1 of the top 4 issues is fixed I'll be screaming for joy. Let me know gents.Comment

I agree and I have said it before , people loose they complain ( its not fair the game is broke ect ) they keep patching and screwing up everything that worked .
in my opinion if a player is doing something you feel OP don't complain ( if you cant beat them , Join them )
This game is trying to replicate real basketball (I think) sprinting our of a dribble move at 30 mph isn't realistic and you can't honestly say that should remain in a game.

Amen to that. The worst part for me is how tedious it seems to be to skip through all the cutscenes. Don't get me wrong, it's cool that they have so much presentational stuff in the game (Coach Genero being the exception), but sometimes you just want to play and it shouldn't take multiple presses on the controller to skip through it all.Comment

I love how the game feels right now - too much to mention but it definitely feels smoother to me and there are way more sequences when I'm like "that looked pretty real" but hey everyone has their own experience.

I like what I'm hearing about the smoother bumping animations, etc. Really hope this is true, and more importantly I really hope they don't change it all again in a week.
I love the idea of them tweaking things only in certain modes, hopefully that will allow them to limit cheese online without screwing up the offline experience.Comment
