    The Community Dynasty Diary

I aim to make the ultimate community dynasty diary out there. I am opening the floor for not only recruit creation, but also coach creation. You can sign up for one or both it is up to you!

For coaches, you will be restricted to either a OC or DC position with a school of your choosing. Remember after you choose a school, the AI takes over and where you end up after that is on the AI not me! This should make for interesting coaching changes at the end of each season.

The first season will be simmed and each will be reported here. I am controlling the Oregon Ducks as the Head Coach using Heisman sliders. We will be using a roster update for this years players, I haven't picked which one yet.

    PLAYER APPLICATION
    First Name:
    Last Name:
    Position:
    Handedness: Left/Right
    Home State:
    High School:
    Height:
    Weight:
    Skin Tone:
Other: Basically put any kind of specific equipment you want your recruit to wear (Example: Revolution helmet, gloves, QB Wrist, etc...)

    COACHING APPLICATION
    First Name:
    Last Name:
    Skin Tone: Dark/Light
    Apparel: Polo/Sweater Vest/Suit/T-Shirt
    Hat Type: None/Regular/Visor
    Glasses: On/Off
    Alma Mater:
    Offensive Playbook:
Offensive Style: Running/Passing (Which would you lean towards most as a coach)
    Defensive Playbook:
Defensive Style: Running/Passing (Which would you lean towards most to defend against as a coach)
Position Picked & School OC/DC (Also state which school you want to coach at)

Hope to get a lot of people involved!!

          UPDATE

Wanted to provide an update on some aspects of the game that I will be doing. We are using NCAA Football 14 on the Playstation 3. For the roster, I chose to go with vikesfan059 PS3 rosters.

As for sliders, I did mention I was going to go with Heisman sliders. I think I am going to go with BlackRain37 Heisman Coach Mode sliders.

For weekly write ups, I'm going to get video clips and make highlight videos for each coach's game and then make a recruit highlight video showing each recruits game and the things they did.

Hope to get a lot of people to sign up, I'll be starting with what I have either tomorrow or the day after so please get your applications in!! Can't wait to start this.

                    NCAA Makes Some Changes

In a move to spice up the competition within college football, the NCAA has decided to completely redo all of the conferences. All conferences will now have a championship game, and with this change every conference is eligible to get a team into the National Championship game.

We caught up with interim NCAA president, Jackie Wyatt, to get her opinion about why the change came about.

We had to look at everything and decide what is best for the sport and what is best for the schools. With the setup before, you had weak conferences that really had no chance of making it to a National Championship game or a New Year bowl, with this change all of that changes. Every conference has their own championship game, and on top of that they're all eligible to make it to the National Championship game. We want to see this sport excel in ways that wasn't possible

We have the complete graphic to show the new conferences:

                    ----------------------------------------------------------------

                    Several Offseason Coaching Changes

Several teams have made moves in the off season regarding their staff. Several coordinators and one head coach have entered the college football scene to see if they have what it takes to be a College Football coach.

Some coaches were signed to short contracts, while a couple were signed to longer contracts. However, they are not safe from being fired if they do not perform well at any point during their contract. Here are the coaching changes made in the off season:

                    Arkansas Razorbacks
                    FIRED OC Dan Enos
                    HIRED OC Brent Davis

                    Fresno State Bulldogs
                    FIRED OC Dave Schramm
                    HIRED OC Razor Sharp

                    Kentucky Wildcats
                    FIRED DC D.J. Eliot
                    HIRED DC Jimmy Zazz

                    Ohio State Buckeyes
                    FIRED OC Ed Warinner
                    HIRED OC Eric Vario

With all of the conferences eligible to make it to the National Championship, it'll be interesting just how different the rankings will look by season's end. There is alot of pressure building on all of these teams, they know that one loss could be a huge hit to their chances at a championship. However, with some Heisman hopefuls on their side, they might have a fighting chance. Let's take a look at who the analysts put in their heisman race to start the season.

It's time for the season to finally kickoff in Eugene!! The Quack Cave is going hard and cheering loud for their Oregon Duck Football team. The Oregon Ducks host the UC Davis Aggies in what should be a very easy cupcake game for the Ducks. Now I know I shouldn't say that, as College Football has proved time and time again that statement false. We will get to see how the new Head Coach will perform in his season opener. A lot of folks want a blowout, that way they know this team is legit and can beat teams they're supposed to beat. Our good friend Kirk Herbstreit has Oregon winning 49-3!!

                          Trouble in Eugene?

Eugene, OR: The Ducks came roaring onto the field to an enormous amounts of cheering and love from the fans. The season's first game was finally here and these fans were ready to see a butt kicking take place here in Autzen Stadium. There was a lot of buzz going around campus about Coach Peters and how he would command this team. He was really hush hush about his gameplans and style of coaching, but we would get to see it all first hand here tonight.

UC Davis had won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half, thus giving Oregon the ball to start the game. Everyone was excited to see the first series of the season, but it ended in a three and out for the Ducks and they would have to punt the ball right back to the Aggies. So maybe the defense will look good coming out of the gate? Well unfortunately the fans would have to sit and watch as the Aggies drove the ball all the way down to inside the 5 yard line of Oregon, but defense stepped up and when UC Davis went for it on 4th & goal, they stopped them short of the goal line to take over on downs. Oregon would try to get something going on offense, moving the ball past midfield but stalling having to punt it back to UC Davis late in the first quarter.

The fans were getting a little upset at this point, they was expecting their team to be up a couple scores by now, but first game of the year this should be expected. On the Aggies next drive after stalling Oregon, they once again consistently moved the ball down field against the Oregon defense and capped it off with a touchdown!! Harris found Johnson for 7 yards and the score!

UC Davis would lead #24 Oregon 7-0 going into the second quarter. The camera panned across the fans and captured some very worrying looks among them. It is early in the game, but these fans are seemingly giving up on this game already. Some sections are thinning out, probably from fans going to the concession stand to eat their sorrows away. No matter, Oregon has the ball back and is looking to answer with their own score. Oregon stuck to the running game for most of this drive and it paid off. They got inside the 5 yard line and gave it to Royce Freeman to clean it up and nab the touchdown!! The PAT would tie the game up 7-7 for the Ducks!!

It seems like the fans are coming alive a little bit! Oregon kicks the ball off to UC Davis and they take back over. The Aggies would immediately run into disaster as Harris throws an interception to Malik Lovette, he would return it 45 yards and the touchdown!! Oregon gets their first pick six of the season and takes the lead 14-7 in the second quarter.

Oregon has started to pick up steam here, the fans have now come unglued after the pick six and is in full force for this game. All it took was a couple of scores to assure the fans this team didn't suck. Well to make them feel better, Oregon would force UC Davis to a three and out on their next possession to take the ball, but would go three and out themselves to punt it right back to the Aggies. Once again, the Oregon defense felt like they couldn't stop anything unless they was close to the endzone. UC Davis would get close, but would be forced to settle with a 41 yard field goal from Rawlins, cutting into the Oregon lead 14-10 late in the first half.

Oregon's offense had a meeting during the UC Davis field goal to get pumped up for this possession. It seems like Oregon is going to bleed the clock and try to score right before halftime to increase their lead. Their plan failed and they would go three and out and have to punt the ball back to UC Davis in what could possibly be a drive UC Davis can take the lead on. UC Davis once again moves the ball past midfield, but is forced to punt and Oregon would have one last opportunity to get points here with under a minute left in the half. Justin Herbert was on target this entire drive and capped it off with a pass to Royce Freeman for a 6 yard score with nearly :30 seconds remaining in the half, they would increase their lead 21-10 going into halftime as UC Davis would just kill the clock and head to the locker rooms.

Wonder what adjustments would be made at halftime, Coach Peters should see that his defense isn't working and needs to get his DC to change up the gameplan and get things going. UC Davis would get the ball first to start the second half, and Oregon needs to make a statement this quarter in order to keep fans interested. The Defense gets aggressive and forces a three and out on the opening possession of the second half. The crowd is still alive and really into this ball game. Oregon would run into disaster on their next possession though as Justin Herbert would fumble on an option keeper and UC Davis would recover with good field position.

Oregon's defense would spoil the fun for the Aggies, forcing them to kick a 20 yard field goal, bringing it to a 21-13 ball game. It would be back and forth all quarter long, with no other scores coming in the third quarter! We move into the fourth quarter where things start spicing up a bit for the Ducks in good ways and bad. UC Davis would have the ball to start the quarter, but would once again turn the ball over. Harris would get picked off by Troy Dye and he would return it 77 yards for the second pick six of the game, increasing the Oregon lead 28-13. The play would be reviewed, the ball seemed to hit the ground before Troy Dye got possession of the interception, however the play would stand. UC Davis starting to fade out of this ball game and needs something to happen for them offensively, they wouldn't find it on their next possession though. First play of their very next possession, Harris would once again throw an interception, this time to De'Quan Mattingly. Somewhat good news for UC Davis, they would force Oregon to only 3 points off the turnover, Oregon's lead would increase to 31-13.

Oregon has seemingly put this game away, and the fans are feeling confident about walking out of Eugene with an easy victory that looked shady to start the game, BUT here comes the Aggies of UC Davis friends. Once they get the ball back, the Aggies would match down the field behind the arm of Harris and top it off with a touchdown, with Harris connecting with Rushing for the 8 yard score. UC Davis would fail to get the 2-pt conversion, cutting into the lead 31-19. Oregon didn't seem to be worried about that last score.

Oregon would take the ball back over and consistently move the ball, keeping the clock running. They would eventually stall out and have to attempt a very long field goal, but Schneider would miss the 55 yard attempt and UC Davis seems to have a breath of life in them. It would only take UC Davis two plays to find the endzone as Harris find Brooks for 60 yards and a score bringing the score to 31-26. The Oregon fans have gone quiet and their faces have got that worried look once again from earlier in the ball game when things looked bad.

Not to worry Oregon fans! The Ducks know how to win ball games right? Well let's hope so, because if they can't score soon, UC Davis could possibly win this game late. Coach Peters could be seen on the sideline firing his defense up, trying to get them to step up late in the game. The offense had taken the field and needed to score in order to keep this win secured for them. Oregon would have to punt though, but UC Davis would muff the punt and would be recovered by Oregon!! The fans are back to life once again, they know if Oregon can take advantage of this, then the game will be over. They would bleed the clock until UC Davis started using timeouts, but that didn't stop Royce Freeman from scoring a 5 yard touchdown run with under a minute left in the game, increasing their lead to 38-26.

Oregon's defense needed to make one last stand here to end the game, and they did so in a huge way. Two sacks and two incomplete passes, they would turn the ball over on downs and Oregon would kill the clock to escape with a 38-26 victory to kick off the 2013 Season!!!!!

Alright Eugene is in for their second home game of the year!! This time this is going to be a much tougher test, as #9 Tennessee makes their way to Autzen stadium to take on the Ducks. Oregon had a rough time against UC Davis last week, barely escaping with a win 38-26. Has Oregon made any changes to their team since last week to prepare for the Volunteers? Kirk Herbstreit doesn't think so as he picks the Volunteers to pick up the win over Oregon 35-21
