How do you add created players to historical roster

I don't know if this has been answered, but how do you add a created player to historical rosters? Trying to get rid of bad looking legends. Any help would be appreciated.

An expert will answer shortly, but what I did, I created a player (Ralph Sampson circa 1985) first, then added the custom rosters from PShare (MJWizards and the other guy) and then try to sign that CAP to my team of choice (1993-94 Houston Rockets). Sometimes you'll have to dump a player to make room.

Add the CAP to a team and then trade him to the historical team, then release the historical player to FA Pool.
