I wish it kinda had a point, I knew it could be a recruiting pitch but its never used.Comment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
PPOE maybe a players Potential rating. If it is, I don't think the 32 possible values are split equally between Excellent, Good, Average and Poor.
Will note down my recruitment class potentials and advance to next season to see what their PPOE numbers areComment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
Confirmed, PPOE is players potential rating
0-9 = Poor
10-18 = Average
19-27 = Good
28-31 = Excellent
Potential affects how fast players ratings increase thru their college careers. IMO, progression is too slow.
I'll post a suggestion on how to mod PPOE later...Comment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
ok then
30 and 31 (no change)
29 & 28 (+1)
27 & 26 (+2)
25 & 24 (+3)
23 & 22 (+4)
21 & 20 (+5)
19 & 18 (+6)
17 & 16 (+7)
15 & 14 (+8)
13 & 12 (+9)
11 & 10 (+10)
9 & 8 (+11)
7 & 6 (+12)
5 & 4 (+13)
3 & 2 (+14)
1 & 0 (+15)
basically my modding suggestion compacts the possible number of PPOE ratings from 32 down to 17, and the minimum rating would be 15 (which sits in the Average range, but hopefully there won't be any players that progress too slowly and the rate players progress by generally should be a bit higher).
i really wish team info was amongst the info in the player db, as you could then give players on smaller colleges a bigger ratings boost, as those are the teams that really need it, usually unable to recruit effectively to fill holes in rosters and slow-progressing guys recruited from a season or two before having to step up when the seniors leave
the only other ways of filtering it are by OVR rating (under 93) and Year (Freshmen and Sophs).Comment

Especially if you look at the ps3/360 versions where you usually have like 5-6+ players that are 92+ ovr in each position.Last edited by Brock; 12-01-2016, 01:40 PM.Comment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
Okay! Using the NHL DB Editor file I posted, I was able to make every NCAA team in my current dynasty (mid-season in year 7) have 45% NCAA Interest, and give them back 75 points for discipline. I also, being a very nice commish, lowered every team's sanction back to 1 season no matter what the current duration was. The sanction severity was left alone though.
This will be good for future seasons. I may give every team 100 discipline points and see how it goes.
Edit: Just noticed Bowl/TV duration are not the same as ScholarshipsI actually tested this out and posted my findings, a few pages back, the game crashes/causes issues when you edit the teams discipline pts. Also, I don't think the teams points are actually zero, its just since your not controlling them it'll show up as zero. If you're talking about the db editor, im not sure why it could be because they have a high interest already, but you can't do anything about it.
I think the only solution is to edit the NCAA interests, and the bowl bans etc if you can, and edit the players individual discipline.
On the Coach db, CDPC = Discipline, CRPC = Recruitment, CTPC = Training. These are the budget percentages.
Discipline is 2.25 hours per percentage point. I think it is rounded down if its 0.5, will test this, but every 4th percentage point equals a whole number in terms of discipline hours.
I think the max discipline hours on the team db can't exceed the discipline percentage on the coach db. Would explain why editing discipline points on the team db crashes
The problem with increasing the coach discipline budget to increase discipline hours is you'll have to make a reduction in one of the other two budgets.Comment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
I've edited discipline points (downwards admittedly, hoping to increase recruiting hours during the middle of offseason recruiting, no increase in hours).
And it has NOT crashed
Its either something to do with me editing points down, or editing the coach db to match the zero on team db, or keeping discipline points within the budget. Probably the latter, so NCDP is editable providing you don't over budget.
But its just easier to mass edit discipline ratings to A+, or have the lowest discipline rating at 3, 0-2 being the range where a player becomes a magnet for trouble.
PPOE modding, there is a noticable increase for in-season progression, definitely among the better teams. Lesser teams still an uptick in progression, but I think the problem is there isn't a significantly increased chance of a 2* or 3* recruit being given an excellent potential rating in the first place.
However, PPOE modding had a unforseen impact on offseason training. More players progressed well and more players failed to progress at all. I think this is because there is a finite number of training points that the cpu can allocate, so those with the highest PPOE rating improve the most, and those with the lowest rating on the team, even if that rating is 25, progress the least.Last edited by Anarchy666; 12-05-2016, 01:22 AM.Comment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
Does the PMOD db modify the attributes, and change the way the OVR ratings for each position is calculated or not?
I ask this cos I play NCAA FB 11, and EA applied its usual logic of if something ain't broke, fix it. I believe its the same for '10 as well
speed counts waaaay too much for all but a few positions, and acceleration and jumping attributes count nothing whatsoever to OVR (but they do change a players tendancy for certain positions, like DE for example). Also CTH counts nothing towards a DB's OVR rating.
Just wondering if anyone knows of a fix for this issueComment

Re: [Guide] Modding, Editing, and Porting PSP & PS2 NCAA
IMPORTING DRAFT CLASSES FROM ANY NCAA TO ANY MADDEN
is possible!
I'll use Madden 12 as an example because it's the most stable Franchise file that I created this year.
NCAA Football 2011's game ID is BASLUS-21932
Madden 12 will take NCAA 11's Draft Classes.
Using PCSX2 as an example, use MyMC to open up all your save files.
Choose your NCAA Draft Class, and export to a max file (see photo)
Then open this Max file in PS2 Save Builder.
Copy the NCAA11 ID (BASLUS-21932).
Now rename the NCAA 06 ID to the NCAA 11 ID highlighted in red in the photo. There are two spots, one is the ID for the package, and one is the ID for the BALSUS save file.
Save. And then re-import into your memory card.
Now it should load in Madden 12 during offseason!
You can also do this in PS2 by using file manager, and renaming the folder & the save file within that folder.Huskies. Seahawks. Arsenal. Sounders. Sonics. Mariners.
