MyLeague screwed up - help appreciated

This year there seems to be a new feature to the "fully customizable" franchise experience - MyLeague:

In the off-season, team owners vote for rule changes, which they did in my MyLeague. I only control one team, and now in season 2 the NBA games have a 45 sec (!) shot-clock. This is killing the game For me completely.

    My questions:
    1. Is this a feature I could have switched off at creation of the MyLeague?
    2. Can i switch it off NOW for my running MyLeague?
    3. In the off-season I could vote against these rule changes, but since many other owners voted for this shot-clock change, my vote made no difference. So it seemed to me that my hand was forced here or did I miss something?

This is a game breaker for me, so any help would be appreciated.

Eeee...don't know what to say to this one. Might have to start over. In my off season, we voted for mostly draft changes. Like having only 10 teams participate in the draft and things like that. A 45 sec shot clock with the way this game plays sounds horrible lol.

For MyLeague you can overrule any changes when they come up in the offseason. If you let them go through, then I'm not sure that you can change them. I've never tried, though so I don't know for certain.

Once approved, no way to detract from that change, not that I know ... For the future, try to always keep 2 files one fully updated and the other with the previous update, so if something happens you can always go a little back.

I also have a master myleague file saved from the begining of a season, without any progression, just in case or if I decide to start another myleague.

Thank you for your replies. Sounds like I could have rejected the rule changes.
I was so surprised when that new screen came up, I thought I only got to put in one vote as owner of my team. I messed it up myself then.

Thanks again. Will start a new file then.

You can reject any new rule you don't like or even accept a rule that was not approved. I am through my 6th offseason and will tell you don't rush through that is the best time in the game. The depth they offer is great.

Also if you add expansion teams they will be voted on in the league meetings as well. They get voted down a lot so if you want the team added you will have to override the vote.
Relax, it's just a video game!
