I've played Fifa regularly since 2012. I'm not great at it but I enjoy it. Typically in he past I've played on Pro or the 2nd highest difficulty.
This year I can tell do anything. The AI defenders recover way too quickly. If I do make them miss, they can change direction without losing speed or even gaining pace. It's nearly impossible to dribble past them. If you do dribble past, they just muscle you out of the way and steal the ball. There is no way to keep posession for any length of time.
The first two games I played I figured it was rust. After a week of playing on Pro I thought the game just wasn't fun. I downloaded the community sliders. The first three game starts were amazing! I won 2-1 (scoring 2 goals in He finals 5 minutes). Second game I tied 2-2 after scoring quickly and giving up a late goal for the tie. The third game I tied 1-1 after forcing a late OG to force PKs. (DONT GET ME STARTED ON HOW BAD PKS SUCK IN THIS GAME). Anyways, all of those game she were fun and I thought I'd figured it out.
I've now played 12 more games and I've only won once. The game is justness crap. No matter how fast of players I get the defense can catch them. No matter the strength of my defenders the AI offense can run past or power through and keep possession. The AI goalie is also from another planet.
Most of these games I can barely get a shot off while the other team will finish with over 20 shots and 70% possession. The skill moves do not work as the defender will just shield me and steal or even push me aside with no call.
Every FIFA game has been fun until this one. I've never done this but I'm about a week away from turning the game back in and saying screw it. Even if I win a game it's boring as can be. HELP!
