Played several games of pro-am on xbox one. Gameplay is MUUUCH better! Props to 2K for getting back to more sim/gameplay balance. Defense actually is fun again.

I think the hardest balancing act is finding the right gameplay balance that works for ALL modes, as well as online and offline. Some have said, separate the modes as far as gameplay tweaks. But that would 'cause more issues too because people want consistency when they're in mycareer and then they go online and expect similar gameplay. So, this has always been a tricky thing for gameplay.

I think the online mode probably should take priority 'cause 1) it's 2K's money maker 2) We are stuck with whatever difficulty it's on. Offline ballers have way more gameplay tweaking options like sliders and difficulty. Online, not so much.

My slasher has been killed by this patch. I can't really make contested layups anymore, and contact dunk animations rarely trigger in mycareer, it just forces the weird contact layup animation, which of course i now miss.

Then again, is it so bad that CONTESTED layups miss? Happens in the real NBA all the time.

I've never understood the argument "man this game needed 7 patches, bad game!" Huh? Patches are mostly a good thing (as long as it's not causing new issues and breaking something that doesn't need fixing), 'cause it means the game is dynamic and that the devs are continually fine tuning the game to try to make it more sim & excellent, combining feedback and basketball logic.

Bruh they nerfed contested shots and threes off the dribble...what the hell does that have to do with NBA Jam ? lol

i love to point out flaws in the game but some of yall be making up things to complain about because you had a bad game, its straight up weird.
Since theres no patch notes people can say kangaroos are in the game and no one will question it.

nah man, from patch 6 to 7 you'll see the difference that realness is gone. thats what i mean but since you seem focus on online modes and winning only then you may not notice it.peace bruh bruh

So it's back to the problem earlier in the year during the first defensive tuning? The one where I had to actually post screens of shooters getting D ratings on shots that were considered contested when the defender was realistically too far away to ever affect such a shot? Really haven't been playing much lately.

12/9/16 - Rest In Power Sharpshooters - They now need 10 feet of space to get a good grade. Guess a hall of fame deadeye and a 94 contested 3 means absolutely nothing anymore.

I played with my stretch big and shot just fine. Plenty of green releases.

If you're relying on hall of fame dead-eye, then that means you're taking too many contested shots.

Considering I shoot over 60% in pro am and 70% in the park, I think I know what 2k considers a good shot. Or at least what they use to consider one.
