Ugh... The Falcons high-powered offense was just to much to handle with us missing 3 of our best defenders.
Missing Houston and Hali we just couldn't stop Freeman, who put up 141 yards in the first half against the league's best run defense.
Julio scored 2 first half TD's before I swapped Peters(User) over to the other side of the field to cover him. Normally I run with Peters on the right side of the QB because I have Berry to cover the top against the #1 receiver on the left side, but with Berry out that proved costly as they just couldn't stop Julio. By the time we adjusted it was too late and they were rolling through the air and on the ground.
Ryan threw 2 picks. The first in the 1st quarter as Berry's replacement Sorensen stepped up and took a deep ball away from Julio, the second was not Ryans fault as it bounced off Sanu Sr. and Dee Ford grabbed it inches off the turf and took it back for the pick 6!
Speaking of Dee Ford what a game for him in to replace Houston. 3 tackles, a forced fumble, 2 sacks, a pick, and a TD. He won AFC Player of the Week honors.
Derrick Johnson also took Ford's forced fumble to the house for a TD.
Falcons move on to 10-2 and we fall to 7-5 and into a tie with Denver in the AFC West. Next week the Raiders (6-6) come to Kansas City for a big Divisional matchup for us.
