Is M17 the most bugged version of all-time Madden games?

I did not do the update of the game from the rush-colored patches, and two franchise users are quite pleased with the game, but I still think that even though I love this game and I like this version, unfortunately I think it's really one of the most full of bug ever seen.

I'm curious to know others what they think.

please dont use this tread for whine or blame developers or company, Because will be locked, it is want to be only statistical.

I can only go by what I've experienced, but based on my experience, this Madden is both the BEST Madden to date AS WELL as the most bugged. I don't normally discover bugs, but this year I have, including one where the game freezes when you are in hurry up mode (from the tempo option in the play book) and you press a button to skip replays. Pausing and selecting the instant replay fixes it. I also encountered a bug in defensive camera where you are stuck on a player until the snap, at which time you can switch as normal. The only fix I have discovered is restarting the game.

So, finding bugs is a novel experience for me.

Still, the game is hands down the best Madden game yet, even with the bugs.

One thing that had me puzzled for a season was the imaginary challenge that would occur when you called a TO. Till I read somewhere that swiping up on the touchpad would challenge a call. Haven't had an issue sense, still makes no sense to have that function used to challenge a call.
But, the most annoying glitch has to be the contract situation. If a player wants 5 years for example, they will not take less even if you offer the max salary/bonus possible. However, if you trade said player they will sign for less years with the new team. Not really a big deal if you don't limit years. However if you have a max years allowed, say 4, this is a huge issue.

I don't think that it's in the top ten. In the past when things couldn't be patched people just dealt with the bugs or quit playing. In so many of the older Maddens I could have typed up a list with 50 plus bugs on all of those games. In the last few that list is under 20 now.

Madden 13 had disappearing players. That's pretty bugged. I think as Madden get more complex theres bound to be more bugs. Thats the case with every game and especially annual release games since there's only so much that can be implented and tested in a year.

I don't even think I had started my Franchise by this point last year because CFM was so broken the DEVELOPERS said not to play it

M15 and M16 were worse. M15 had terrible regression (20+ speed loss at age 30) and game freezes. You couldn't play CFM on M16 until November. M14 had issues too... in fact this has been the most bug free since M12 therefore the most bug free in the CFM era.

Didn't one version of Madden had a bug where you couldn't import draft classes at all on one system?

I swore that was the version of Madden with Ray Lewis on the cover.

I recall several years before my system was hooked to the Internet where once I got to year five, week 5 I could no longer play or sim past the week. It was a dead end. It happened three years in a row if I remember correctly.

This was a HUGE problem in the early Xbox 360/PS3 Madden's. I want to say it was 07 or 08 where every time I'd get to season 3 or 4, it would lock up every single time trying to advance to the offseason. There was another big bug in one of the early ones where when you edited a player in any way he would become 26 years old. Then there was the Madden where it rained every game in franchise and then the next year the sliders didn't work at all. Looking back at that, there's no way M17 is even close to as bad as those games when it comes to bugs. IMO it just suffers greatly from poorly designed/executed and unfinished feeling ideas and features.

Personally I don't think you can debate if this is the most bugged game if you are not taking advantage of the updates to fix them...

One franchise back around 10 or 12 would have coaches that you fired retain the user setting for filling the roster. Meaning they wouldn't fill or resign players. Got about 18 years in and got stuck because the Falcons couldn't field a team to play against me. The punter was also the QB and dB. Wish I still had the photo of the stats. It was nuts. And really pissed me off.

I remember quite a few versions being more "broken" if you will.

I still remember one of my biggest peeves in like 02-03 or so. 3rd down...linebackers would move around and pump up the crowd...get an offsides flag and give the CPU a 1st down. Happened 3-4 times a game till, I had to turn offsides off. That one really stuck with me for some reason.

Bottom line...online patching is a glorious thing. There have been far worse versions.

Haven't noticed any bugs at all. Not sure where this question is coming from. Are there a few things I wish they would change? Sure, but in terms of 'bugs' I haven't seen any since they fixed the 'phantom challenge' bug.
