    NBA 2K18 Triple Doubles

NBA 2k18 needs to have programming or a new badge for triple doubles. Players like Westbrook, Harden, Bron, Greek Freak and Draymond Green to name a few need to have a badge that allows them to fill the stat sheet like their real life counterparts. Small guards like Westbrook need to be able to rebound at a high rate to achieve this.

Disagree. We don't need more stuff in the game that artificially impacts the game. Wesbrook already averages a triple double for the last 3 seasons in my Career.

Westbrook is a great rebounder for his position, no doubt, but his teammates literally concede uncontested rebounds to him for the sake of his stats.

So why not just increase his rebound rating instead of adding an entirely new badge?

        100% agree.

Badges should only be a thing when ordinary ratings can't reflect a player's skill.

I agree wholeheartedly with Dirk and KoolAid. I believe the attributes of the players should be the main focus when determining player's abilities. Then scarcely add in badges for things that are hard to replicate. I believe most of the badges can just be attributes. Really the only ones I see that are beneficial are the personality badges.

Feel me. What other sports game uses a badge system? I know FIFA has traits

badges add animations though right(?) so that can't be added with just attributes. what exactly would a triple double badge do? boost stats you can get triple double with? (pts reb ast blk stl)... yeah those skills already got badges aka redundant.

None of the other major American sports showcase more individual talents than basketball. It's easier to see how a badge system works with basketball players than say football player or baseball player. There's constant scoring, passing rebounding and defense on every single play and there are players who stand out even amongst the greats. Basketball has become a game of specialists. Each team needing filling out their rosters with players that specialize in different roles. I do think live we need a triple double badge, but the rebounding attribute is a rare thing to have as a guard.

                    1. You have to fight amongst the trees to snag one.
2.You must be in great position in order to grab one.
                    3.It takes a certain timing.
                    4. For a guard or for anyone small in stature, it usually takes a lot of athleticism to constantly be a leader in rebounds on your team.
5.It's not required for your guards to rebounds..it's all about effort.

I think moving forward, 2k should reward players who put in the effort to go and grab rebounds.

Yeah, that's right, but not with badges... Give a player like Westbrook very good rebounding, hustle and athletic ratings. That should reflect itself in the rebounding numbers, Westbrook is able to get game after game. Not another badge, which just does the same as existing ratings.

There are so many badges in the game where I think "why does this need a badge?"

                      E.g.

Corner Specialist - What's the difference between a hot zone in the corner and a corner specialist from a logic standpoint?
Mid Range/Deep Range Deadeye - We have a contested mid/3pt rating. Why do we needa badge that is expressing exactly the same?
Difficult Shots - Shots off the dribble ... Uhm we have Moving Mid/3pt ratings
Posterizer - We have a contact dunk rating
hustle rebounder - just give that player a high hustle and rebounding rating...
                      .
                      .
                      .

In my current MyLeague, Westbrook finished the 2016-2017 with like 30+ triple doubles and averaged over 11 rebounds and assists with many 15+ rebound games. LeBron finished that same season with about 20 triple doubles with a near triple double average at 26, 11 and 8.. The next season Westbrook averaged almost 15 rebounds through the 1st ~20 games but still finished the season at around 11 boards and 8 assists. LeBron finished with 27, 11 and 9. As far as I have seen there is no need to add a triple double badge. I'll have to check the stats for Giannis, Harden and Green later.

I haven't seen Westbrook chase many rebounds when I'm in game. That's with with me giving him gold Hustle Rebounder as well. CPU Points guards in 2K don't seem to be able to get 10+ rebounds consistently because big men just gobble everything up.

I've see guards go after defensive boards but not many offensive boards.

Bingo. There's way too many badges that are redundant with the attributes that already exist.

Deadeye is the perfect example. I was a fan of the badge in previous games but now that we have contested shot ratings I think it should be scrapped now.

Having a Hall of Fame Deadeye Badge along with a high contested shot rating is a recipe for disaster.
