Sticking With 06... New Ideas Please..

Some of you have convinced me that 06 is the best version as far as PS2 goes. Frankly, I love it. The controls, the magazine covers, etc. Need some suggestions from you all. You are the experts in the gaming area. I usually load the game and play it. I am looking for some ways to dress it up some. Whatever house rules you would apply. Or playing both sides on offense or defense or whatever. Any advice welcomed. Thanks.

The running animation feels so right in this game. I was never able to get the sliders right the way I did in 03 version. I believe I played on 9 minute quarters.

NCAA 09 has all the stuff you mentioned, magazines, same controls, and is the superior game. However, NCAA 06 is better than 07 and 08. I've never seen, experienced, nor heard any evidence that showed NCAA 06 was better than NCAA 09 in any way.

With NCAA 06 instead of NCAA 09 your guaranteed three things---less moves at your disposal, less animations, and many less plays and playbooks.

Hey bud I know you do write ups about playbooks---but is there any way to actually upload your customized playbooks so we can all just plug them in and play?

You know that's not a bad idea. I will have to think of a way to streamline that but it makes sense to do so. Thanks for the idea.

I did try 09 out again last week. I do like it quite a bit. It felt solid, maybe a bit too easy actually. I would have to play with the sliders a bit more. I may consider diving into that game too, as it has WKU already in it, which free up another team for replacing from FCS.

06, though, to me, has a better presentation and that soundtrack! I'm currently in the middle of a season on 06 right now too, but I may give 09 more of a go after this season is over.

Plus, it's one more game to fully dive into modding.

I just took a look at what old games I have, 06, 07 and 09. I think i Sold back 08 after about 2 weeks. That game was the biggest piece of crap EA ever made.

I tweaked sliders like crazy for 06 on varsity and game got worse. I tweaked sliders even more on all American. I was very impatient. So, I am not crazy about the timely job of recruiting in off season on 06, so I am having tons of fun playing offense for both teams with... Check this... Varsity level and all sliders on zero except special teams. CPU and human are around 40-50 on each special teams slider. My scores are more realistic, yards are more realistic, and having a lot of fun playing teams that are closely matched. I will have my new conference divisions up an my created bowl game on dynasty thread later.
