Please help a confused senior!
I am 70 years old and still love to play video games. However, my eye-hand cooridination is not what it used to be, so I play mostly strategy, simulation type games. I bought Madden 17 because I would like to play a game where I just pick the plays and watch the game play them out without me mashing buttons....I thought coach mode would do that...but I still have to execute the runs/passes..and cpu vs cpu does everything and I have no play calling input..I have tried to read the forums to figure out how to implement this style of gameplay and I end up more confused....could someone please tell me if it is possible to do this (there used to be a autopass setting but I cant find it in M17) and if so...How?? Thanks!Tags: None -

No problem! When you start up a game, before you kickoff, click the left stick to enter the 'SuperSim' menu. From there press X/Square (depending on your console) and set the Sim speed to 'slow'. Finally, scroll down to the bottom and jump ahead to the end of the game. Doing this will allow the computer to select and execute all plays while you sit back and enjoy. -

And to turn on coach mode you do that outside franchise setting in the main game settings area.

First off, great to see that you still play! I totally get what you want and coach mode is the way to go.
I know it seems like you would have to execute the runs and passes, but actually once you snap the ball, as long as you don't touch anything other buttons on the controller then the quarterbacks will throw the ball for you on pass plays and the running backs or wide receivers/tight ends will run when they get the ball for you as well. So all you have to do is call the play and the pres X on PlayStation or A on XBox and then "sit back and watch" just like you wanted to.Check out my dynasty: Rise to the Top: The Coaching Career of Joshua Morgan (NCAA 14)Comment

Man, I feel young now(42). LOL!
Seriously though, it is great to see video games played by all ages and loving it.

Re: Please help a confused senior!
Glad to help! Also, I would like to mention that Capa is also correct. You will still have to do punts and kicks, so I would just supersim those (Options on PlayStation or the three lines thing on Xbox and then go to super sim and sim the play).Check out my dynasty: Rise to the Top: The Coaching Career of Joshua Morgan (NCAA 14)Comment

I feel young...
I am just about to turn 32 years old in March. It's good to see others still enjoy games as they get older. My mom told me I will grow out of it someday. 4 kids and a wife later and it hasn't changed.
Told my mom that day may never come.NFL - Denver Broncos
