REALLY tempted to pick this up. I've never really dabbled with a rally racer before but the challenge sounds fun and the courses and cars look beautiful.

Re: DiRT Rally Review (PS4)
Ok, so I was driving with stability and traction control on 5. I turned traction control off and stability down to 2 and i am in the race now. Won a couple usually in the top 5. You really have to hit your lines in the rally cross races. One bad lap and you're in trouble. Also Joker lane strategy is key.Comment

Re: DiRT Rally Review (PS4)
DIRT Rally is the best rally sim ever available on consoles in North America. The competition isn't even close.
Only Richard Burns Rally for the PC and European consoles is in the same conversation. RBR is such a brilliant game, considering it was released in 2003.
But DIRT Rally is the new king.Xbox Live: pk4425Comment

Re: DiRT Rally Review (PS4)
I really hope they add some more rallycross tracks. I'm having some white knuckle neck and neck photo finish races every time I play. It's a battle for the win. I love games like this. The A.I. won't take no crap either , if I'm in their way they do not hesitate to let me know. Between this game, Project Cars, and MXGP2 I'm in racing heaven.Comment

Re: DiRT Rally Review (PS4)
I agree, but at the same time I feel like sometimes my car weighs significantly less than the AI vehicles. I get spun way more than they do.
For example, coming into a sweeping right hander, AI car on the outside, I carry a touch more speed in knowing I should be able to use them as a crutch. Instead, as we get door to door and I am using them as leverage they cut in on me and my car does a spin while they carry on like I was never there.
It doesn't work like this. IRL if they cut back in, momentum would push BOTH of our tail ends clockwise while each of us drifted towards the outside edge of the track. Instead it's like I get double the effect and the CPU suffers none of it, holds it's line and continues on as if nothing happened.
Everything can't be perfect sadly, other than that, this game is a blast.
I did that greek rally prologue while the game was installing and in the night race near the end, luckily!, I drifted into a rock and the lighting changed. When I crossed the finish line I realized I had smashed my left headlight. Came in 3rd overall with 4 15 sec penalties for flying off the track.
Here's hoping for more track dlc because the ones in the game are sweet, I just want more!resident curmudgeonComment
