my 6'1 playermaker cant make wide open 3s

what gives? 3pt attribute is maxed, i should be able to make 3s especially since i always get close to perfect release. this is stupid.

Open 3 rating maxes out at 72 on playmakers, you should make some but you won't be a knock down shooter. I'd recommend working for bronze corner specialist and bronze catch and shoot for a little boost to open 3s in the corners

You aren't a sharpshooter. I pick and choose when I pull on 3's. When you're hot you can be a bit more aggressive. Basically it's a feel thing. As a playmaker you really are best at getting your teammates open looks and giving their shot a boost via your HOF Dimer Badge.

Get badges, grind hotspots. Activate pick and roll maestro before shot to increase shot chance. If you can't hit them after you've got red hotspots (on court, not in player card), then you're doing something wrong.

The whole conecpt of this is just plain stupid. How many PGs are there out in the NBA with a standing 3 rating of 74 or less. Not much. And The playmaker has the 2nd best standing 3 rating besides the sharpshooter...

QFT, but mainly focus on corner specialist and catch and shoot. I think I average 39% from 3 in Pro-Am w/ a 40 3pt rating.

Meh, my shot creator sg with max shoot off dribble and HOF badges can't make wide open moving 18 footers.

Your most likely using a jumpshot 2k probably nerfed get a new one

Badges help, but ATTRIBUTES matter more than your ability to play the game.

2k17 is all about your Archetype. If you want to shoot lights out - get a Sharp Shooter.

Take Free Throws for example... trying to hit those with 65 - I couldn't hit any... I got em up to 94 and now I can't miss. I didn't get any better or worse at my timing, I just got more attributes.

lol I can't even hit open 3s with my sharpshooter like everyone else seems to be able to. I think there's way too much emphasis on all the badges personally.

Like I said, grind up your hot spots. It makes a huge difference in green lights.

Like I said, grind up your hot spots. It makes a huge difference in green lights.

How do you check what your actual hot spots are?

Pick up a ball in your practice gym and walk around the spots to see the color around the outside of your player indicator. 14 different hot spots.

I believe there's a minimum amount of shot attempts for each spot because they may be red in your player card but still grey(neutral) on the actual court. Also if you have multiple characters, I believe the glitch is still there from last year that can reset/copy your hotspots from another character, which can negatively affect your hotspots.

Its because 2k created these stupid archetypes which have basically destroyed the game. I mean come on, our player is supposed to be one of the greatest players of all time and make it into the hall of fame, but we can only do one thing good? You think michael jordan is one of the greatest players ever just because he could play good Defense? Hell no.

Check your hotspots bruh. That could be the difference maker. Keep in mind if you skip too many practices in mycareer or sim games too much you'll lose gen.
