    Unique Flexbone thread

Post your non traditional Flexbone scheme

The way I run my flexbone out the Navy offense , I run it uptempo no Hudl , I put athlete at QB I recruit an athlete every year and I recruit run first linemen with speed usually small so I won't run into them it makes a difference with me , I also put my fastest players as the slot back A back and B back , usually a decent speed wr but with size and tough TE's sorry if my grammar is off. I also use Florida so I take the Urban Meyer approach speed kills, it's been tough but it's very explosive quick hitting also use one of the best sliders for the gameplay. I rarely have any problems, my Defense isn't as killer as I would like. Tbh I love this season no editing no cheating I take my losses I'm having hella fun Flexbone for ever brothers real men! My QBs a gamer!!!!!

I call it the Fun N Run since spurrier did the Fun N Gun already. I run every single play lol and recruit for depth so if I need subs they come in, I usually wear the defense down with this method

What sliders do you use? I have recently also made a team that runs the wishbone and I find myself rushing for 500 yards a game.

I run a unique flexbone scheme in the sense that it's a unique form of the flexbone. I take the shotgun spread formations and insert personnel as if it's the flexbone, with the slot guys acting as my A and C backs. My staple play is the motion triple option, so I can run just as effectively, and I have a little more variety in the passing game because of the sheer amount of plays from this formation. I don't bother with no-huddle, but I like to always use the same personnel to keep the defense guessing.

I now up to about two weeks I have ran a triple option similar to what your running out the shotgun I don't pass at all and play on the sliders I shared above . And I'm doing very well my wrs are getting hand offs my TE is just a blocker my slot gets run plays all motion scheme tail back QB are first read I love it doesn't get boring and helps me keep speed at the qb position I did lose to bama in a nail biter they just bullied me on defense

I do a bit of that too.

There was somebody that made a "Shootbone" playbook that I took and threw in a few tweaks. As the name indicates...it's as if the Run and Shoot had a baby with the Flexbone. A baby that can only be satisfied by a large amount of touchdowns.

That's exactly what I do now. I'm currently running a Hawaii dynasty with the exact offense you're describing, except out of an under-center flexbone set. It's my favorite offense to run.

I am also running the shoot bone, with some Shotgun formations mixed in. I am glad there are others still running this. I'd love to hear any tips anyone has, or certain ways they run their offense.

How do you all manage your depth chart, formation subs, and player positions running this offense? because it seems like players would be playing "out of position" a lot, which would hurt awareness ratings.

I use formation subs to make sure my B Back is in the backfield in every formation. Next I put my Split ends as the top two WR on the depth chart. The two slot backs are 3rd and 4th on the WR depth chart. At times it can get a little mixed up with different players in different spots, but for the most part it works out.

So the split ends and slot backs are position WR? and is the B back a FB or HB?

Do you recruit HB or WR for your slot backs?

In shotgun formations the slots are from the WR Depth chart. In the Flexbone they are RB's. That is why I use formation subs.

The B back is more like a FB. I have used power RB in this spot, but the best players are Receiving FB's and athletes. They do not have to be speed demons, but if you can find one around 90 spd that can block and break tackles, he will be a stud in this offense.

So do you leave players at their original position and just use formation subs?
