Gameplay Differences (Cheese): Home Games Vs Road Games

Has anyone noticed how the AI plays when it's a home or road game? I noticed this with the way I play too.

Played against the Pelicans last night as the Cavs because I was shocked how they beat the Cavs. I wanted to seek revenge. I won by 15, which is usually below my standards (you're thinking, are you crazy? A win is a win!). No, I should have blown them out by 40 or more. Lo and behold, I did blow them out by 50 at home. I play the exact same way. It doesn't matter if it's home or away.

Maybe it's just Play Now that has inconsistent gameplay or I am nuts. The AI tends to play superhuman at home. If this mega cheese wasn't in this game like this the game would be better than 2K16. This cheese makes the game unplayable. It's that simple.

I probably wouldn't say this is cheese based off a sample size of 1 game home vs away. To be honest, every NBA team has a better home record than away record in real life, so the game should reflect teams play better at home vs away.

The difference of 35 points (+15 vs +50) doesn't really tell us much either. You certainly may have played your same offensive gameplan but maybe the CPU played differently on the offensive/defensive side of the ball or you knew what the CPU would do based on your first game so you were proactively stopping plays on both sides of the ball.

Have you been following the NBA this year? The Warrior won their last like 10 games by and average of 20ish points, and then last night lose to the Heat in Miami.

You may disagree which is fine, but this is what the real NBA is like. 1 game a teams wins by 30-40 points and the next game they play away and lose by 15.

I had Kemba put up 39 on my last night and Kaminski went 6 of 7 from the line.

Wanted to call cheese but then I watched Dion play like Dion Waiters thinks he can play all the time and beat the Warriors. It was a one off performance and I actually enjoyed the close game after seeing that.

I'm not necessarily saying I disagree with you, but I don't think a sample size of one is much to go on. I've been mad after losing a game and then won the "rematch" game by 20. Same teams, same difficulty/sliders, same location, literally played back-to-back to one another, yet wildly different results. It's a little premature to blame everything on just being home/away. Maybe you would have won that second game against the Pelicans by 40, even if you'd played in New Orleans.

          I think you are nuts.

I've mopped the floor playing against teams when they are home. I play strictly play now or Myleague on Superstar or HOF. Just like the poster said above me, your sample size is literally two games and the home team should play better.

Play a few more games before before you jump the gun

I guess now we just make threads about whatever complaint we happen to have about the game at any given moment.. Same guy, 4 different threads on the first page alone all complaining about something different..

I don't disagree. I have followed the league closely. I tried this game again today and the results were different. I blew out the Pelicans by 40 points on the road. Sometimes the AI plays too damn fast and they make everything especially in the 3rd quarter. They play insane at home but it's toned down on the road. What you said is true. Teams play better at home.
