As many of you will remember from last year, we did 2 separate packs and we will be doing the same this year. With the slots being expanded to twice as many as last year we will have plenty of room to include all the music we have info on.

1. Starter Pack. Which will include all team sounds, cheers and jeers, as well as walk up and entrance music from the end of last year rearranged for the players that have moved. Why? simple, the Starter Pack will be ready to use at game launch. The downside is the songs will undoubtedly be out dated but the Regular Season Packs obviously can't even start to get made till teams have played some games which could push them to a much later date than launch although last year we did get them out fairly quickly.

2. Regular Season Packs. These are the packs that will have current and up to date(mostly) team sounds, player walk ups, and pitcher entrances. They will be updated sporadically whenever we get a chance but lowlight has made a spreadsheet making the process much quicker and easier this year.

We learned a lot of things the hard way last year so we have decided to make sure the packs stick to a strict formula in not only how they are created but also in the format they are presented. With the extra space this year we will be including all info we have to fill the slots the game has. So if we have info for 3 homerun songs they will be included. If we have 3 RBI songs they will be included. Not alot of teams had this much info last year. So remember we can only add what info we have which is where the community steps in and helps us collect the data.

We will post the packs the same as last year on a team by team basis but i'm also hoping to release a complete pack if size permits.

Lastly, any help would be welcomed. That can be in many different ways. Collecting info, pointing out our mistakes, or even making packs. If anyone wishes to help PM either lowlighthabit or myself. If you'd like to help making packs we will divide the teams up before the season starts(lowlight and myself can hammer out the Starter Packs) lowlight will send the formulas we are using and we will require that those guidelines are followed when making the packs in the interest of continuity.

Ill use this first reply for instructions and helpful tips.

lowlighthabit made a great video explaining how to use the yells, jeers and chants. Here's the link to his youtube video.

How to add files via USB:
On your CPU desktop right click and select new folder.
Rename that MUSIC
Take all the mp3 files you want to put in game (they have to be mp3s. Your ps4 will explode if they aren't) and drag them into the folder you named MUSIC. No sub folders just mp3 files.
Plug in usb
Drag the folder you named MUSIC into your USB
Disconnect USB and plug it into ps4
Start MLB the show 17
Find menu sounds of the show
Bottom right corner select manage music files.
Select import music
Wait for songs to upload.

How to add songs to play in the menus:
Select playlist Creator in the top middle
The songs you uploaded are on the left. Hit dpad right and make sure it says jukebox additions l2 r2
Click dpad left to your songs you uploaded and find the songs you want to play in the menu. Click on them and they will add into window on right
Thats it they will now play randomly in the menus.

How to add player songs, team sounds:
Go to playlist Creator
Right on dpad
Hit r2 it should now say in game music cues
Hit dpad left and find the songs you want to add to each event or player. Click on them and they will be added to the right window.
You now have to add cues.
Go to music editor.
If you have files that you've downloaded from this site chances are each file has three songs on them so you have to set cues.
Lets say the music file you uploaded was called TOR Bautista, Donaldson, pillar. That means that file has all 3 players walk up music on the 1 file.
So select that and you would see green squiggly lines cut into three.
Hit dpad right
Mark1 which is red would be your first cue and in our example would be bautistas music. Chances are you can leave it because it's first but you can move the start point with l2 r2.once you have that set hit dpad down to mark 2 the green one. That will be Donaldson's music. You want to move the green line with r2 or l2 to match were you want Donaldson's music to start. It should be where the green squiggly lines start in the middle. Once you've got Donaldson's start point set dpad down to mark 3 the blue line and use r2 to set pillars music.
Once you've done that for every file you can assign them.

Assigning player music
Select assign player audio bottom middle
R2 or l2 to the team down. For our example find toronto
Scroll down and find player. So for our example find bautista.
Click on the player.
Choose edit player
For batters select walk up music 1. Click
Scroll through the files till you find the track, again with our example, TOR Bautista,donaldson,pillar and click on it
A little menu asking which mark you want pops up and select. For our example bautista is mark 1.
Make sure you press start to save and exit out of the player edit.
you can have 3 different batter walk ups. Thw game chooses randomly which to play.
Same applies to pitcher relief entrance music. Follow same steps but obviously pick relief entry music 1 or 2 or 3 in the edit player section.

Assign team audio:
Same steps just go to assign team audio instead of assign player audio in main sounds of the show menu.
Biggest difference is in the team audio section you can select if the audio you assign has stadium or broadcast effect added to it with the triangle button. Stadium adds reverb(stadium echo) to make it sound like it's being played in a huge stadium.

I have changed the way cheers and jeers show up. They should now show up in the proper spots for CHANTS and YELLS in game. I am including 3 for each category with no repeats for all the teams I do. If Matty doesn't want to make them ('cause I know how much he loved them ), I will make the ones for his teams so he can add them in either by pack or as an addon.

That would be awesome i have no desire to do jeers and cheers lol. What are you using to determine the rosters? Id like to use the same source so we dont have any accidents. I plan on hammering down on these starting tuesday.

EDIT:
Here is my system.
1st, I pull all the stadium sounds over from last year and convert all the info over to this year. I clean and edit as needed, also adding in when more info has been available. Anything above and beyond what is within MLB 17 (RBI2, RBI3, etc.) goes to the expansion folder.

Next up, I go to a teams depth chart http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/team/...x.jsp?c_id=nyy Using last years files, I am pulling and piecing together new files based off the depth chart. Starting Pitchers first (than moved over to the expansion packs). Next up Relievers. Same thing except they stay in the pack. I go to Catchers, 1st, 2nd, SS, 3rd, RF, CF, and LF in that order, same as MLB The Show. With my entire MLB The Show folder open (contains everything from last year to now), I use the find function to look up every name. I crag and drop into GoldWave and start the process on position players. Anything extra like a 4th walkup gets moved to the expansion pack. I also use Google search and other sites for player music if I can't find any for a particular player.

Finally, I go over to the expansion pack and bring up the non-roster invites page at http://m.yankees.mlb.com/nyy/roster/nri/
Using the same MLB The Show main folder, I attempt to find all the names on the list. If I find one I verify player movement with the file (if any) and create any additional player files for the expansion packs. Same thing as above with Google and other sites.

Zip up my files and export them to Drive. Send the links to CujoMatty. Done. Rinse and repeat.

Now all this goes to crap if they decide to expand the size and/or add more effects that were not present last year, but that goes with the territory.

Just watched the create a player new gameplay, gamestop video and russell indeed confirms that SOTS got upgraded and they added slots so we will have to see whats changed, but for now we will continue with the gameplan and we can add on later.
