Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
There is another thing I'd like to add, I think it would add more 'immersion' (for lack of a better term), is to overhaul the championship system.
Currently in UFC 2 you win a championship after completing a few fights in the title chase phase until you're eligible for a championship.
Personally I think it would add MUCH more meaning to winning the championship if there was some kind of ranking system put in place (becoming a top contender for example) so that you can win THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP against THE WORLD CHAMPION.
Having essentially only 1 belt per weightclass (I guess ranked could follow a different formula for this than UT) would make being the champ at that class alot more interesting IMO.
Right now it feels like winning a belt (aside from developing a title def streak) is a pretty meaningless thing in and of itself.EA SPORTS UFC 3:

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
On Martial Mind YouTube page he answered a question from a subscriber about blitzing on strikes and this was his response....
-El Chapo-
"One thing I really wished they would add to this game is a way to charge in with left, right combinations. It's kind of hard to explain without sounding strange so search up Cody Garbrandt vs Augusto Mendes and look at the combination he finishes Mendes with that's what I mean BUT if you catch a counter on the way in (just like Aldo vs McGregor) it should punish you. What do you think?"
-Martial Mind-
"El Chapo I know exactly what you're referring to. It's a blitz, Lyoto Machida does it well too. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with UFC 3.... Shhhhh!!!! Stay tuned."
Sounds like the finish the fight mechanic got a overhaul in UFC 3. I wonder how it looks if he said "You will be pleasantly surprised with UFC 3."
I'm excited to see what it looks like.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
Not all "blitzs" are the same.
This has me both excited, and nervous. If done right this could be very cool. If done wrong, it could be horrible..
All we really need is forward lunging strikes really though. EA UFC 1 had really great lunging hooks that worked awesome. Something like that would be a huge step forward in itself.
Definitely curious, and interested.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

I don't think martial mind meant anything regarding that dumb mechanic that shouldn't exist, I think he's talking about a way to cover distance with strikes like in UD3 where you can dash forward and it acts as a strike modifier, so if you'd strike while dashing it would cover distance with the strike.
And just one last time f**k finish the fightComment

F**k the bulls**t finish the fight mechanic it needs to begone for f**k sakes, how is taking control of my fighter and letting me do nothing but throw repetitive punches like a mindless street fighter without even allowing me to use my footwork, it's P4P the dumbest idea the devs ever had and it's cause by TERRIBLE footwork in both UFC 1 and 2

What Martial is talking about is Lyoto's blitz where Machida charges in with constant lefts and rights to the head. His blitz sometimes comes when he is finishing the fight but it also is a technique he uses when someone isnt hurt.
Be clear, I'm not saying that this they arent working on finish the fight. I'm just saying that Martial's statement doesnt prove they are.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
EA cares about NDA violations but they allow us to make vague comments about the game. Martial's statement is vague as hell and wouldnt be considered a violation imo.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Confirmed
I dont think you have to worry about that. Most of the GCers are only active here and they arent really that active in the first place. Also, the game is still being developed so any info we have could change by the time the game is released.Comment
