40 Man / Playoffs - MLB 17

Has anyone heard anything about '17 finally getting the playoff roster correct? MLB changed the rule a couple of years ago, and it hasn't been updated correctly in The Show. Anyone on a teams 40-man roster as of Aug 31 is Playoff Eligible. I haven't been able to find any info regarding this for this year...

Hasn't this always been the rule?...how does MLB The Show handle it?

It used to be only the 25 man roster was playoff eligible, aside from injury replacements. This is how The Show was still handling things.

I might be confusing being on the "team" before Sept. 1 with being on the 40-Man before Sept. 1...but you are correct.

You'll probably have to wait for the Franchise Stream/Blog to get an answer to this question. As of now, very little information has been released in regards to franchise mode.

Correct. The rule is that players need to be in the organization before Sept 1...40 man roster is irrelevant.
