Sacramento Kings: Jokers no more. NBA 2K17 MyGM.

In a stunning turn of events the Sacramento Kings traded away Star Center Demarcus Cousin right before the trade deadline. The team announced Monday afternoon that the Pelicans had acquired Demarcus Cousins and swingman Omri Casspi while sending Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round pick and a 2017 second-rounder to the Kings.

Motives behind this trade are unclear, one source says that Vivek Ranadive believes that Buddy Heild has, "Steph Curry Potential", while others believe that they are trying to change the culture around Sacramento. Regardless after the trade Vlade Divac has been relieved of his duties, with the reasoning that the Kings could have gotten a lot more for the superstar center.

They have hired new GM Robert Star, former head scout for them and Sacramento local. He's being tasked with a hard rebuild with only a couple of key pieces to build around in Heild, Cauley-Stein and a couple if aging vets.
The Kings will be looking to build talent through the draft, and pick up solid vets through trades.

    Owner Goals:
    1. If you make a promise to a player, you better keep it.
    2. Top 10 in attendance.
    3. Trade either Ben McLemore or Anthony Tolliver, expirings.
    4. Get two lotto picks in the next draft.

Please. Make a better work w/ Kings! Sacramento needs a team, not a Comedy Club.

Kings GM Statement and Starting Roster Announcement

Reporter: First and foremost, you know what I'm going to ask.
What's the plan with this team, with the Cousins trade you guys have become one of the worst teams in the NBA. What are you guys going to do?

Star: We're not bad, just young. We have a lot of time to grow and rebuild.
We're going to rebuild through the draft. Draft picks are going to be the key here, we can't be trading away our most valuable assets now that they're so important.

Reporter: You've inherited a team with a lot of young players, but no one really stands out as a star. How will you find someone to replace Demarcus Cousins production and impact?

Star: I have a lot of faith in the guys we have on this team at the moment.
McLemore is one of the most athletic guards in the NBA, Hield has a great shot and I have faith that he'll find it throughout the season, and Cauley-Stein's potential is through the roof. We have a couple guys that could be the next big thing.

In his first game back as a King Tyreke Evans showed up ready. He led the team scoring 26, making 12 of his 16 shots, even knocking down two threes. Evans also racked up 6 assists and pulled in 5 rebounds. The Kings are running the offense through Evans at times using him as a point forward. Darren Collison had a near perfect game at point guard, racking up ten points and ten assists, with no turnovers, while holding opposing point guard Eric Bledsoe to 8-24 shotting.

The Kings defense was swarming and hustling tonight, Buddy Hield led the team with five steals, Center Kosta Koufas was not far behind with four. The team racked up twelve steals all together, while only turning the ball over a total of seven times.

The Suns bigs couldn't get anything going down low as Willey Cauley-Stein was a terror, picking up four blocks throughout the came, and altering a ton more. Skal and Cauley-Stein bring a ton of length to the front court and teams will start being weary of them soon.
