What hes saying is that draws are still in the game and happen, but when they do, rather than getting a draw, the game will randomly pick a winner.

When the game announces the winner, without announcing the score, that fight was actually a draw, with a random winner assigned.

What's funny is there was one last week in Bellator. They are rare though.

I thought that was the case but the devs confirmed that isn't true. That is just an audio bug.

That isn't accurate. They have happened a handful of times but they aren't typically happening in the states. They are a part of the unified rules but the nsac has their own rule set so typically it only happens outside of the country

Wrong. Draws happen in more scenarios, mostly when 2 or more judges give 28-28, or when 1 judge says 28, second judge says 28-29 fighter #1 and third judge scores it 28-29 fighter #2.

There are more examples if you play with the score, but again most draws happen whem 2 judges score it a draw.

Lol if there isnt a 10-8 round you can't have a score of 28-28...... The scenario you pointed out would need a 10-8 round to make sense..

                Fighter A wins round 1 10-9
                Fighter B wins round 2 10-9
Fighter A wins round 3, but loses a point due to eye pokes 9-9

                Final score: 28-28 Draw

Correct me if I'm wrong but there are no eye pokes or point deductions in this game

And he was refering to the judges scoring the bout with no mention of ref deductions. And if that were the case how would the other judges wind up with a 29-28 one for fighter a and one for fighter b(fighter that receives point deduction couldnt win a 29-28 it would be 29-27 or a draw)? Point is, without point deductions(not in game) or 10-8 rounds draws won't happen. And point deductions are far less likely to make it in the game(especially ranked) than 10-8 rounds

While I would love to have had draws in the game, there were bigger fish to fry with what time we had. I mean, ideally they happen rarely, and even then there will be people who don't want them. So we would be spending a ton of resources for a feature that almost never happens and would even anger some players when it did....so we didn't.

I recall one time sending out a small video to the team, internally of course, of an incredible double-KO which it soo awesome. Alas, that was the last time it would happen.
How can it anger someone if you make it an option offline and if people really hate it (realism) then, like i mentioned before, just turn them off in competitive play and online...

Trejay, you are missing his point. From 1996-2013, .59% of UFC fights ended in a draw.

                      https://www.reddit.com/r/MMA/comment...from_19932016/

That's less than 1%. In order to get draws in the game, they need to adjust the judging logic, create a cut scene for draws, animations for the fighters within those cutscenes, potentially record Buffer stating that its a draw, change the UI so that draws are optional and are recorded in your online record....and I'm sure I'm missing some things.

So his point is why work on this (and potentially take time from working on something else) when its something that only occurs less than 1% of the time and some (many?) people will turn it off when playing competitive online.

Now I want draws in the game badly but I can acknowledge that he has a valid point.

ESPECIALLY when it's a mirror match, that kills me. I just rage quit when I see the match up announcement.

Wanna keep the matchmaking discreet for some odd reason? Fine, but if both players pick the same fighter, ban that fighter from that match and both players would pick again but the fighter that was chosen by the two players will be grayed out, that's it problem solved. So many things in the current game are just so damn lazy and pathetic imo

This isnt one of them though. This is just a personal preference for you and isnt a prefrence of a good amnount of people who play the game. Some people just like fighting with fighters they want to fight with. If that is Jones or DJ or Lawler...they dont care. If that means they are likely to fight someone in a mirror match....they dont care. In ranked, most people just want to be in the best position to win and thats it.

I dont even play ranked often but I'm not a fan of restricting who people can use just because both players want the same fighter.
