Xbox One Forever Loading Screen

When it shows all of the teams, right before the video with Chris Paul starts, my Xbox One post all patches now takes a LOOOONG time to load.

It either takes anywhere between 2-8 minutes, or it might even just sit on the team loading screen.

Has anyone else experienced this, and are there any fixes that are out for it?

We feel your pain bro. 2k claims to have fixed it but it's pretty ****ing obvious that they didn't

My system use to load for like 10 minutes on the logo screen.

Now it takes 10 minutes to load on the Paul George screen with that loading basketball in the middle.

This is where I am now as well.

At this point before booting up 2K, I make sure I have something to do for next 10 minutes. Chore, take dog outside, etc. lol

Last patch resolved this for me thankfully.

I want to make sure that I don't lose any games saves or my career saves. Will I lose anything

You shouldn't. Just make sure you only clear your reserved space and not any of your other saved data. Your reserved space should recreate itself on launch.

If your game takes a while to sync with the servers, make sure you don't cancel the syncing process or you could corrupt data.

Try at your own risk. 2k advises against doing that but it was a solution in the other thread about this issue and worked for me until it was patched.

I wouldn't recommend clearing reserved space. It can be very risky if you have a lot of files saved to your system

I've cleared reserved space many times to get it working, haven't lost anything yet. What has been working for me lately is closing the game in the main menu screen. It's been loading up a lot better.

I doesn't get stuck on the logo screen anymore for me, but when there is an update out for the game it can take upwards of 10 mins just to load up the game completely. It will show that big basketball spinning before the game finally loads all the way up and then if you try to go to mycareer or something that can take another 5 mins or so to load. Then it will immeditely say that there is an update required on the main menu and expect me to back out to get it which takes even longer.

I've had this happen 3x just in the past week and half alone. There's absoluetly no reason why a game should take as long as this one does to load up. The loading times are just so crazy this year.

i keep crashing back to dashboard when i start the game and then i cant connect to 2k servers. i keep trying to connect and it says error. any tips on how to resolve ths?

The game needs to update. You need to get in the game, then start a play now game. Either play it or let the CPU play it until you get the prompt to return to the main menu to update your game.

The stuck at logos issue was resolved in the last patch for me, but now it's back again. Not sure if the patch today triggered it or not, but it does seem like a pretty big coincidence if they are unrelated.

This is separate from the problem of being stuck on the screen afterwards for ages, where the large basketball is spinning as the game is trying to load. That happens pretty much every time for me, but now I can't even get that far b/c I can't get past the logo screen again like before. Clearing the reserved space is really sketchy and is a terrible workaround. Shouldn't have to resort to that.

Xbox One btw. Honestly I would rather have this crap fixed than any game tweaks, the game is great. Double teams could be improved, glad they worked on that, but it's useless if I can't even get the game loaded.

Game is still trash, 2k is trash. Patched on XB1, too 5 min to get to the main menu. Loaded "play now" and stuck at 16% for another 10 min ---> update required
