Bengals Acquire WR Floyd In Trade
Minnesota Vikings Trade: WR Michael Floyd, 2020 4th (126 OVR)
Cincinnati Bengals Trade: 2020 2nd (64th OVR), 2020 3rd (96 OVR)
Veteran wideout Michael Floyd is on the move this offseason, as the Minnesota Vikings traded him to Cincinnati for a 2nd and a 3rd rounder. Last season, Floyd had statistically his best season since 2013, as the veteran enjoyed a resurgence in his career, hauling in 73 catches for 1,170 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Bengals, who just previously lost star wide receiver A.J. Green in free agency, will be hoping that Floyd can provide a spark to their offense as a #1 target, though Green will be next to impossible to replace (how about that catch in the Super Bowl?).
Minnesota, on the other hand, brings in two picks for Floyd and their 4th rounder. Floyd was a bit expendable, with Stefon Diggs, Laquon Treadwell, and Ty Montgomery manning the top three spots. With young gun Isaiah McKenzie waiting on the wings, it was only a matter of time before the Vikings decided to deal Floyd and develop their young talent.
