Well, certainly no BB game on the level of The Show but there are the more Arcade style games like RBI Baseball and Super Mega Baseball (which is a surprisingly fun arcade baseball game). Then on the pure simulation side there is Out of The Park Baseball.

I don't think any additions have been "cons" of any sort yet, but some omissions (things that have yet to be included) could fall into that category for sure.

The only thing is I wish that Retro fielding camera would pull all the way up for bombed home runs. Whether it's in HRD or otherwise, upper deck flies probably won't be caught on camera.

          The best thing we know:

          - It's only two short weeks to release day.

          The worst thing we know:

          - It's two very long weeks to release day.

'Retro Mode' as it exists will be a one and done feature for sure. Would love to see it return in the form of actual new retro content in the regular game though.

              Best
              1.Ball Physics
2.New faces,New brands! Finally new balance and adidas so I don't have to edit every player in the game with generic equipment.
              3.MLB Network

              Worst
1.Many stances and Deliveries are off and that makes me very mad. They don't capture stances and deliveries accurate enough.
2.To much time being put into DD and not enough going into Franchise.
3.Still no rain outs or delays would just make it more of a real baseball feel.
4.9 days left and I'm sick of waiting. But I did take 2 weeks vacation so I can play the game without having to go to work the next day 😂😂

                Best:

                -Updated faces
                -New/updated hairstyles

                Worst:

-Still no options for tattoos. A simple editor would be fine. The same way that we can create logos for DD, we should be able to do for tattoos. Just give us basic shapes or letters, and you won't have to deal with the lawsuits you are terrified about.
                -No relocation/expansion

The bad: still no working weather that changes during your game. Time spent on gimmicks such as retro could be better spent on what's missing from real life baseball games.

Both of your worsts are things the MLB won't allow.

                      A) By the devs own admission th Retro Mode did not take much time to implement. We have no idea if the exclusion of Retro mode would have allowed enough time for implementing any other feature.

                      B) Retro mode has the potential to draw new players to the game. Weather changes during game does not.

It will be interesting during the next years streams to hear the the stats of games played in each mode, like we got this year. Once we see those numbers then we can judge if it was just a gimmick or a mode that gets played by a large number.
