I'm thinking the easiest way to do that is to CAP with a last name of a current starting pitcher and go into exhibition and play a game against that pitcher until you get a hit. Or get lucky in RttS and/or Franchise

Can you just play against the same team you are controlling so that both starting pitchers are the same. Or play against the all star team and face the same pitcher you are starting?

Not likely. For whatever reason, The Show has not allowed mirror matches at least since '06 (and probably before). I always found it an odd series quirk. The only way a team can bat against its own pitcher is in batting/pitching practice mode.

Agree that the best course of acquiring this trophy is the CAP/edit player approach. Remember we can freely edit minor leaguers, and play minor league teams even in exhibition...

There has to be some reasoning behind having such an odd trophy. Maybe SCEA is trying to figure out what % of their player base even dabbles in CAP/roster editing?

Couldn't you still just play a game against the all star team and then just pick the team the all star starter actually plays on, put the pitcher in the leadoff spot for more opportunities?

None of the trophies look overly difficult but I probably still won't Platinum it. For example, unless you are willing to spend a lot of stubs then the trophy that requires a Diamond piece of equipment be equipped in RTTS is going to be a tough one.

The fact that there is a trophy for accepting a position change in RTTS seems like it may confirm my fear that it is going to be extremely common for that situation to present itself, like possibly for every player. Because who wants to go through the early minor league portion of RTTS multiple times before even being offered the opportunity.

Online trophies, not a fan. Other than that most just seem fairly standard attempts to get you to explore new features, only a few are things of any interest (inside the park at Polo, same name pitcher hit thing
