Game downloaded but won't install

Hi fellas, I looked through a few pages and didn't see anyone mention my issue. I picked up a hard copy of the game, put it in and it downloaded content for a good 2 hours like every year, but after the download it wouldn't install. Anyone ever have this issue with this game or another?

At the screen where is says "ready to install", I push x to install and it just bounces back. I posted a video on my twitter: https://twitter.com/bigpapapump22/st...93245904764928

Just throwing it out there but do you have enough space on your PS4?

This is happening to me right now. I put the disc in and it worked the first time. Played part of a game but wanted to watch that intro again. So, I went to restart it and accidently hit delete. Now it's stuck in the pause thing.

Guys Im having the same exact problem.

Game wont finish installing. Hard copy. It just sits there with the pause icon.

Defintely something wrong with the game because i also ordered nba 2k17 at the same time also hard copy, and threw that in and it installed no problem and loaded up just fine. Ever had this issue before. Over 40% storage free. Tried rebooting, deleting both mlb and the 1.02 update it downloads too

It's because of their server issues most likely

Some nice people responded to my twitter handle and said they went and exchanged the disk....and the new disk they bought worked. Not sure if MLB the Show accidentally sent out some bad disks or if it in fact was the servers as Odogg mentioned.

Bad disk shipments. Happened to me as well. Its not a server, not enough space issue. Even when your not connected to the internet the disc fails to finish the install to the harddrive. Just swap it out and hope you get a non defective disc.

This is correct. I took my disk back and got another re downloaded and installed with no issues.

Well thats just great! Doing this to me now after i had to rebootmy whole ps4! So how the ____ am i supposed to get another disc in july? Wow im speechless.

I could deal with all the crap up to this point, but this will be the final straw for me and The Show if i cant find a solution. To think i actually got a playstation just to play the show. Smh.

Would it mess up the disc if the disc was in during all the reboot phase? How was i supposed to know?? Why w
