Problem is I'm basically a newb... And I'm coming over from Madden PC. It's rough editing in-game. With the Madden Editors, these projects could be done in days rather than weeks or months.
I have roughly half of this done from MLB '15. I tired out though without an external editor. I plan to resume this weekend. This game looks absolutely epic!
I do need a crash course from some of the pros though. Mostly related to potential and player ratings. I'd like to make this realistic and playable for at least a decade in franchise mode.

.. SUCH a bummer service time isn't editable.
I can live without accurate stats, mostly beacuse my faves were all young (Junior, Edgar, Big Unit.. Glavine, Smoltz).. But to have to manufacture accurate service time for realism is a real drag.

Some rosters that I would like to see....
1919 = However include my great, great, great, Uncle hall of famer Red Faber who was injured that year for the Black Sox.
1994 = Strike Shortened Season
All-time every team roster.
Then maybe a top team from each teams franchise in one roster. Example would be 1919 White Sox, 2016 Cubs, 1995 Braves...Comment

So I started digging my 1990 roster out of the moth balls last night... I started this on '14, not '15.
I immediately remembered why I scrapped this; the Marlins and Rockies weren't active. Not sure I'm going to go forward with this.
If anyone is interested, I can bring the roster up to '16. I completed half the teams, or thereabout, all with 75 or more players per 1990 opening day.
.. I think I'm going to start with 1993, the Expansion season.
... If anyone does go forward with this, props to the OS community and the roster and CAP makers. As you would expect, many players on this roster were borrowed from them. I used as many of Dr Sublimes CAPs as I was able. Great work all!

Look in the vault for the 2007 and 1994 classic rosters that I edited in 16.
sim stats yield exact fielding percentages and overall team ERA's are very accurate if you use sliders I suggest.
w/ 17, the sim engine is different and much overuses the LRP. this lowers overall team ERA's, unfortunately.
work-around would be to lower the ratings of SP in NL that are dominant. there are other work-arounds to 17/07/94 that can be employed. honestly, I am sick of figuring all this crap out - LOL.
I have literally spent 100s' of hours simming and I understand the logic and what kinda stats you get with slider sets when simming. if you have any questions, let me know.
also, the player faces look great and transfer well from 16 to 17. I feel you are wasting ur time to import/export. just start in 16 and go to 17 and save urself some time.
