    Dynamic Difficulty

I'm not that great at this game but I'm having a lot of fun already. I've been trying a lot of different teams and playing on dynamic difficulty and on all default sliders, except COU Manager Hook at 4. I haven't quite yet honed in on my skill level but I'm getting close.

Last game is scored 8 with the O's against Aaron Sanchez. So it's still a little off.

If you want to, you can what I did below and share your dynamic difficulty results.

Years Playing the Show: 3 (still an amateur)
    Offensive Difficulty: Veteran
Last Game: 8 Runs vs Sanchez
    Pitching Difficulty: All-Star
Last Game: 0 runs allowed vs Blue Jays
Thoughts: Not quite there on either side yet but getting close.

We know you're playing on dynamic. What Difficulty does it currently have you at for hitting?

Used this with 16 and continue with this to 17. Best way to for me versus slider editing.

Right where I am. The reason I love dynamic Difficulty is because you get those real ebbs and flows. And if you fall down a level, it's doesn't take more than a few innings of raking to move right back up.

There's no way I could get 14 runs on All Star but veteran or rookie+ I could. But then I would never get shut down like I do on All Star. That's where dynamic Difficulty really shines IMO.

I am struggling to get over Rookie Plus when hitting... this year hitting is hard... you really have to be patient even at the lower levels... it is crazy

I was in the same boat but then I hit a groove and have been doing pretty well. I should also have added that I'm playing using quick counts, meter pitching, and analog flick (not stride). First year with the flick but it's bringing me back to MLB 2k and I'm loving it.

yeah I'm really struggling with laying off pitches outside the zone. I even try to swing at pitchouts sometimes. I'm just having a hard time picking up the ball early on. Part of it is that it's been a while since Ive played a baseball game(last game played was MLB2k13...bought the PS4 specifically for '17). I remember I was really good at laying off pitches in the 2k series. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I felt like it was easier in 2k to tell what a pitch was and where it was going to go. However, I'll still take The Show over the 2k series any day of the week. No comparison.

Try retro batting view. It works really well for me. Also trying only swinging at meatballs when you have less than 2 strikes, let everything else go and you'll start to get a better idea of what a pitch looks like when it's going to be outside, inside, low, etc.

i use the same approach I did in 2k...always take first pitch....look at pitchers analysis, etc. But i still just cant lay off stuff. Ive been using a custom camera based off fish eye with the strike zone off. I'll give retro a try.

I've made it up to HOF pitching now and shut down the blue jays again last game so I should be at HOF + in no time. For batting I'm still on Veteran. I need to be way more patient. It's starting to become a problem. Any tips ?

Curious, does anyone stay on DD for the entire season? If so, anything to note?

I would say that once you reach that "competitive" level, move the DD slider to the left 2 or 3 spots (this will slow down the time it takes to increase/decrease levels).

Most DD players do a variance of this once they get to all star level.

In 2016 I found my sweet spot at all star + for both pitching and hitting.

                              Hope this helps.
