    Question about quick counts (Online)

I was gonna post this in the online section but that area doesn't seem to be very active.

I played my first online game last night and I turned quick counts on when searching for a match. The game started and I was the road team, while I was hitting every county started at 0-0 so I figured I must have accidentally done a search for both.

When it was my turn to pitch in the bottom of the inning quick count was on, so when I pitched there were quick counts but not when I was hitting. I'm assuming this is new this year but I hope they patch it and go back to either quick counts for both teams or none at all.

I like quick counts for a faster and more realistic game. What the point if only one person is using it?

I hope this is not the case as it gives the Team that is pitching with quick counts on a major advantage. As they my only have to throw 1 pitch for a strike out compared to when they are batting and can work the count.

I disagree, I thinks it's opposite. Easier to pitch without quick counts and hit with them.

As you mentioned, when pitching you night need to only throw one pitch for a K, but you also might only throw one pitch then its ball four. The other benefit to pitching without quick counts is you can go a lot longer with your starter since a lot of people don't work the count.

I'm an aggressive hitter and don't walk much but don't strike out much either. When using quick count I'll get better pitches to hit sometimes cause sometimes I'll start ahead in the count. Also gets the starting pitcher out of there sooner.
