Are you ever happy?
Final Fantasy 6 had bugs out the wazoo, some of which could break or crash the game.
It's regarded as one of the greatest RPGs ever made.
By doing a very exact series of controller inputs in Kirby's Adventure, you can trigger the end credits in about 20 seconds.
Is that game "very broken?"
And then there's Super Mario 64...and Stryker7x's videos on Paper Mario...Comment

If this game is very broken, then literally everything in my life is very broken.
I definitely understand why people are unhappy. Online functionality is definitely underperforming so far and there are other bugs/glitches/oddities.
I think there are quite a few positives as well though

By this point last year my honeymoon period had elapsed. I had seemingly bug happen that could happen and I couldnt get passed it.
This year iv'e seen quite a number of bugs as well but I just dont care. Not even a little. Everything about this game just feels so much more polished and authentic. The hit variety and ball physics are mind blowingly good. The graphics are so good that I constantly see cut scenes that could fool me from thinking this is a video game.
Obviously the fact that ive dedicated alot of time in making sounds of the show packs the fact those are a disaster is a bit of a bummer but really thats my only real gripe. Thats saying alot for me.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: MLB The Show 17: Is It a Buy?
I guess it's a buy if you have $60 lying around to blow. With absolutely no new key features of note (the 'play the moment' feature does not interest me in the slightest) there's just not enough added features for those on a tight budget to go out and make the purchase. It looks like a tighter overall presentation and a game I will look to pick up when it goes down in price but laying down the money equivalent to 2.5 full tanks of gas on something that's so similar to last year is not something I want to do.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17: Is It a Buy?
From what I've seen it looks like a nice improvement, but it's just not enough for me to shell out 60 for it. With the way that PS4 sports games go down in price these days, I can probably pick it up for $20 on E-Bay by June. Also, I'm a franchise only guy so I can't start up a new franchise until 3-4 weeks after launch because of the time consuming effort that the OSFM takes. The guys that do OSFM are amazing to even get it out as quick as they do but it's something that prevents a lot from starting up franchise for a while.Comment

The new ball physics really do make it feel like a much different (and much better) game. When you think about how crucial physics are to the game of baseball, it's a huge deal.
That combined with the new MLB Network presentation and I'm in baseball heaven.
EDIT:
Just saw your other post. Yeah, if you can wait for the price to drop to better suit your budget then that makes sense.Last edited by jeffy777; 04-01-2017, 01:33 AM.Comment

Ken Griffey Jr is on the cover and in the game. Right there is enough for me. All the other improved things like graphics, gameplay, commentary, new modes and so much more are icing on the cake.Comment

MLB The Show 17: Is It a Buy?
The game is currently very broken, why are so many people recommending it?

Because we don't view it as "very broken" and are enjoying the game?
I know it's a crazy concept that people have different opinions as to what makes a game enjoyable to them.
This game is a must buy in my opinion. New ball physics alone will keep this game feeling fresh for months to come.

Re: MLB The Show 17: Is It a Buy?
I still might end up buying it eventually, but I was hoping for more attention to scouting, drafting, progression, regression, and fixing pitcher stamina/rotations in the playoffs. If they had improved those things, I would be all over this game. The gameplay improvements do sound good though.Comment
