Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
I just got my 100th base on balls and was rewarded with 14,000 stubs along with a ton of tickets and XP. Completing these challenges essentially rewards you with the gold player of your choice. I was not expecting 14k stubs at all.Tags: None -

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
Do we know what triggers the 'hidden' missions within those Career Missions, I know I've had a Bronze Mission when getting my 3rd Triple (as well as a few others), but I can't seem to find a list of each of the triggers.
I also know that they trigger additional missions which are a further 9K in stubs - after the main MissionsComment

The trigger is just the accumulation of a certain statistic below the diamond level goal. So far the silver tier career missions that reward players have been: strikeouts, doubles, walksComment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
Turn up the difficulty to get more walks. Pitchers will actually throw more balls on tougher difficulty. Easy modes throw nothing but strikes so you can hit those homers.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
Yeah, I recommend this as well. Walks on low levels are very hard to come by on the whole.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
I wouldn't say it's luck. I play on hall of fame or legend every game and the pitchers just throw more pitches out of the zone that you have to lay off.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
Does anyone know why it doesn't show your exact rewards? For example, it just shows the reward as stubs and xp but doesn't give the exact amount.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
That's a really good prize! I'm not sure if I'll ever get to 100 walks, but I may try to start taking a few more walks nowComment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
I guess it's for this exact reason. This thread wouldn't exist if we all knew we would be receiving 14k stubs. Seems like they were all about surprising us this year.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
I guess that makes sense but it would be nice to know which ones to try and get first. Thanks for the update. You failed to mention that you get rewards along the way too. I got a rookie Rid Carew for my 42nd walk I think it was. I'm almost halfway to 14000 stubs.Last edited by thekidisback; 04-13-2017, 02:27 PM.Comment

I didn't fail to mention it, said above which ones I got silver player rewards for. Didn't wanna spoil who they were for those who wanted to be surprised.Comment

Re: Career Missions Give Surprisingly Good Rewards
Got the same 14k reward for getting the 165 wins (conquest ftw). Great rewards for just playing, also unlocked another level of the mission, to get another 85 wins, hopefully another fortune awaits for that.
Also unlocked a few players along the way so far
300 strikeouts gets 82 rated Breakout Nathan Eovaldi
37th walk gets you 82 rated Hardware Rod Carew
100th HR unlocks a mission for diamond Breakout Eddie Matthews
100th double unlocks 84 Breakout Dante Bichette (great card)Comment
