    Your worst loss?

I was playing a game against the Braves in my San Diego Padres franchise last night and was up 4-2 in the 9th inning. They hit a lead off double followed by a walk. Two on with no out. Now things get weird...Freddie Freeman sacrifice bunts the runners over, so I intentionally walk Kemp to set up the double play. Bases loaded and one out. Believe it or not but the next 3 hitters, Garcia, Flowers and Jace Peterson I believe ALL SUICIDE SQUEEZE!!!!

The Braves walk it off 5-4.

This is an offline franchise vs the CPU and on each bunt my 1st baseman (Will Myers) wouldn't move. (a bug maybe?)

Needless to say I was pissed.

Anyone else have a bizarre loss to share?

    Re: Your worst loss?

Other night I (Atlanta) was up 6-1 on the Mets going in the bottom of the 8th inning. Two outs, runners on first and third, a called third-strike to the batter which drops in front of the catcher. No big deal, I pick it up and casually throw the ball to SECOND BASE by mistake so all runners safe. Next batter up hits what looks like a routine fly ball to Matt Kemp, who misses the ball, which rolls to the fence. Two runs score, so now it's 6-3. Next guy up hits a shot to SS, which I thought he should have had; the ball rolls into the outfield, where the RF mis-plays the ball. Another run scores, 6-4. By now my reliever is tired so I change pitchers. First pitch he makes, which is nowhere near where I wanted it, gets sent into the LF seats. Now I'm down 7-6 and they go on to score two more to make it 9-6. Just an awful turn of events.

down 3-2 white sox@twins, top of the 8th. I get the bags loaded and no outs.
then I strike out with jose abreu. 1 out. then melky cabrera gidp's. great just great.
I go into the bottom of the 8th knowing in the back of my mind I squandered the perfect opportunity.
but hey, I still got 3 outs to do something.
nope. my pitching is rattled because of my woes at the plate. twinkies bat around and score 8 runs in the bottom of the 8th.
top of the 9th down 11-2 , I K 3 times, twice caught looking on the 3rd strike. embarrassing to say the least.
      esp. since it was Minne-freaking-sota.
just a bad look and a bad loss. it was such a bad loss it that lingered for 3 more games, enabling the yankees to sweep me in my next series. disappoint.

Not really bizarre, but I lost a 13 inning game against the Astros in large part due to the 3 times I was thrown out at home after the 9th inning, and on the run they scored to tie it in the 9th I had Altuve out by a mile at home but McCann couldn't field it cleanly

Unexpectedly, my worst loss was in Retro Mode.

I lost 31-5...and four of my runs somehow came in the ninth inning.

It was an absolute embarrassment to play through, but I soldiered on, because I needed to complete that mission...

I have had numerous hall of fame blown wins trying to close out cpu. The worst though was a missed fly ball for the last out. I ran down and thought the catch animation would kick in only for my player to stand still and let the ball drop beside him.

Was playing DD to finish a mission and I was tied 1-1 and all i had to do was field the ball for an out, but no my outfielder dropped the ball and things went down hill after that and the other team just kept getting hits and so after holding that tie for 15 innings I lost 3-1

In MLBTS '15 and '16 I've been no hit, so I fully expect that to happen at least once in this years game. So far my worst loss has been a 17-3 blow out the first week of the season.

Red Sox @ Jays, I'm the Jays. 18 innings, 28 - 26. Kept getting the lead, and they kept tying it up. When I finally lost I didn't even care, I just wanted it to be over. Stopped playing for almost a month. One of my lowest points playing a video game ever. It took HOURS.

My worst MLB 17 loss to date was my home opener playing with the Rockies against the Dodgers. I got thumped 12-2 giving up 18 hits and the team made 2 errors. It was one of those "I could do little right and the Dodgers could nothing wrong" sort of games.

                        Re: Your worst loss?

My worst loss was probably a game in which I gave up 10 earned runs in the first inning.

I fought back, of course, but I was in a 10 run hole from the get go, against a pitcher I had trouble hitting.

When it all ended, I had lost 19-12. I scored almost all of my runs between innings 6 and 9, and scored four runs in the 9th, but I just couldn't get over the initial hole.

                        It was an embarassment.

Man. Some of you guys have truly gotten clobbered before haha. The CPU has never scored more than 12 runs against me. My worst loss in my history with The Show (since 2009) was a 10-4 effort that included loading the bases with two errors and a walk, followed by a grand slam, and then a hit batter, error on a GIDP, guy reaching on a dropped third strike, and then another grand slam. All in the same inning. This was in 15' when I was using the Padres against the Rockies in Coors. That was my worst loss by complete blow up. My worst loss by run differential was the only time I lost by double digits. And it was in the World Series. Giants @ Red Sox in 16'. 12-2. I just got hammered.
