Matchmaking: Pro-Am Walk-On
1- There should always be enough time to see and view the players you are playing with in pro am to see if they are in a party/ or joined with other players and what their rep and stats are to determine if you want to play a 45 minute game with them
as your teammates. I should never be thrown right into a game without seeing the teammates I am about to be playing with when there are so many issues with matchmaking.
2- You should never be put into a walk-on game that has three big's at SF-C and the tallest team on the opposite side is a 6-7 SF or SG. This is not matchmaking it is just adding players to a court and saying good luck. If a team of three players
online tries to play walk-on with three big's like this they should not get into a game together unless they are matched up with players their size.
3- In walk-on pro am it is pointless to add a AI Player with 55 overall when it only hurts the team that receives them. An AI player in walk-on should be close to the
\over all grade the opponent the AI is matched up has, but don't make these AI have extra senses to pick off every pass that is in their direction and stick to you on defense without getting a screen
4- The best player in the position should get that starting position in the game. I don't know how the system works now, but I get pushed to PF when other PG's are in the game and they are 99% dribble spammers and don't pass and clearly not ranked as high or repped up like me. The top overall player in that position should get their normal position and the other players should get slotted based on their overall rank/ability
5- In reality there should be some sort of lobby for walk-on but I understand the issues that can come with adding a new feature like this. With all the issues we have with matchmaking as is with one court at a time I can only imagine what would come with a lobbies. I would like to see tier based lobbies (rank/rep/stats). I feel you should earn your way to play in pro-am, like have lower levels you need to get through to play with better players or something of that nature. I just can't stand seeing red shoe'd, 60 overalls matched up with a 96 sharpshooter and having no idea how to stay in front of his man or box out at the proper time. we need levels to this 2k, i know you can do it.
Teammate Grade/Game-play: Pro-Am Walk-On
Forget 1 TOP PROBLEM- Fatigue has to be part of this game. If a guard runs over three screens or dribbles all over the three point line just waiting for the space to get off a clean 3pt shot, their ability to effectively make shots at some point has to take a enormous hit, and become slower on defense. There is no person on earth that can move like this without being physical effected and in a pro-am game which is as close to realistic as 2k has to offer there shouldn't be any foolish magic like this happening. I see it every other game I play and is mind blowing to see how long this hasn't been fixed. (and why are all these deep 3's banks shots) I smell the cheese.
1- If a player or players passes the ball to only people they know or are playing with over and over each possession and without good shot selections or made shots then these players should lose grade points based on bad offense and ball hogging.
2- Defense Teammates that choose to not switch correctly on a screen (which has become a massive issue this year with double and triple screens in the pro-am and my park without any fatigue issues for the shooters running around them all shot clock and game) then they should lose grade points if a basket is scored from this defensive breakdown.
3- When a players continues to take bad shots or not play defense repeatedly their grade should go down more and more each time they do so, in which they will be more likely to be kicked out the game
4- If you are a small player and all you do is run down the court and set screens at the top of the arc every time the system should recognize this and lower your grade as you continue to abuse the system.
5- In walk-on pro am it is pointless to add a AI Player with 55 overall when it only hurts the team that receives them. An AI player in walk-on should be close to the over all grade the opponent the AI is matched up has, but don't make these AI have extra senses to pick off every pass that is in their direction and stick to you on defense without getting a screen
6- When a PG is not human or fails/fouls out the next PG in line should be able to make PG adjustments in game.
7- The best player in the position should get that starting position in the game. I don't know how the system works now, but I get pushed to PF when other PG's are in the game and they are 99% dribble spammers and don't pass and clearly not ranked as high or repped up like me. The top overall player in that position should get their normal position and the other players should get slotted based on their overall rank/ability
8- There has to be something done with this crowding the inbound pass. If a inexperienced pro-am player is in-bounding with a cheese defender guarding him then it is a steal every time and makes the game just horrible to watch and play. This doesn't happen ever in basketball (unless it is the last possession) and should have some type of fatigue affect spending all that effort crowding the ball.
9- I don't know what patch added this blocking foul on defense every time a ball handler runs towards an out of bounds line, but it is a hug cheese to go baseline or dribble to the corner for a 3 because you can't defend it without holding L2. If A ball handler is dribbling out of bounds then that is where they should dribble to. We can't allow the offense to get all the cheese out here.
10- Adding to that, the side line and baseline should not be a force field to keep you out of it when you have the ball. If you can't stay in-bounds that is your own issues and only helps the offense and penalize the defense. I don't see this in real life or in a football video game.
