What would you want from my team 2k18?

I love the mode but I believe this year was the worst in terms of released cards. Most of the cards we really wanted are not yet released and the game looks already outdated.
I lost all my appetite to play after I won PD Duncan.

For me there were 3 main factors that drove me away. 1)Supecards with everyone having 95 3s, even Centers, and the constant release of better cards.

2) New content should not cancel out all previously released content. It should be equally good but DIFFERENT. previous years had this worked out.

Young LBJ was more athletic, but worse shooter than heat LeBron etc. Now all newest cards are better in every aspect. Even Amethyst old Kobe is faster and has more vertical than young Kobe, and also rockets t Mac is as fast as Raptors.
3) players are not representing real life counterparts. T Mac in the game plays nothing like irl, Westbrook is a 3pt Lazer shooter etc

Now what I would like
1. Removal of badges. Players should be standard badged according to their skills. No more corner specialist and C&S for everyone

2. Return of the differentiation and not canceling out when new packs are released. It is a same to lock collections when 1 month later your award is useless

3. Get rid of moments card. Do a card update on all star break and that's it. No more lights out gasol because he happened to have 3/3 in a game.

4. All tiers in same difficulty level. PNO does it. NO reason why in a competitive mode your opponent gets an advantage on you just because you are better. Penalizing someone because he is better is highly frustrating.

5. Get rid of custom courts, and jerseys, which also make the game much more laggy plus all the embarrassing all white courts we see OR at least enable the option the away team to be able to choose to see generic courts /jerseys. This is feasible in other games such as PES.

6. BEST LOVED addition, add a separate sim ladder with overall cap. E.g one diamond, 2 amethysts, 2 rubies, 2 sapphires, 2 emeralds etc. This would make squad building much more unique, will require thinking of the player and tactical skills as well and improve gameplay for those who don't want to see 10 HOF in the floor all the time. If others still wish that, they can still play the current ladder

I know I am asking too much, but the game is losing crowd. Just remember how much more active was the forum in previous years

Tell us EXACTLY what each badge and attribute do.

Give us exact pack odds. It's federal law that they do so anyway. If we're spending real money to buy them, it's only ethical to let us know what we're buying. And that would force them to keep the odds the same for the entire cycle of the packs. None of this having better luck when you buy during prime time vs. at 8am.

No more locker codes. Or if you're going to have them, make them timed and make them random item locker codes with stated odds for various rewards.

Make the Dominations prestige-able. Each subsequent play through should be at a higher difficulty level, with a higher value reward. And that's in addition to the restricted MTO mode you mentioned.

A historic MTO mode where you only use historic players. This way we wont get inflated historic cards where rodman can even shoot 3s.

This mode will make MyTeam more special, where post game and big men are the focal point of the offense. Make this sim.

2k has been catering to the arcade 5out offense guys and its about time people play basketball and not a game.

Bring back restrictions, salary cap style. So say you get 100 points and if you put in a diamond player they cost 20 points. Makes team building something fun, not the 3 golds and all silvers of past 2k.

1. Update Playbooks
2. Allow you to scrimmage 5 v 5 in Myteam so you can practice your players tendencies in Game without a loss.
3. Give me option to play individual defense quarter court, 3/4 court or half court defense
4. Tell you as a player a synopsis of your game ex. you lost because of bad shot timing or mismatches, no adjustments etc. this allows you to know how to improve in the game.
5. stop penalizing good players who have mastered a player's animation and plays in the game my creating random results from the same button press.
6. give players the option to neutralize any and all cheese.

Basically these. I would like to see the Blacktop board and prestige awards updated monthly too.

I am not playing 2K next year but if I was that is what I would like see happen.

make it less pay to win/play. i just cant keep up with these lucky guys who were fortunate enough to capitalize off of 2ks mistakes.

im done spending money on vc for 2k. not just bcuz there is less than 5 months left in the game or bc of some vc boycott. i just remember a 2k before vc and how i have become the idiot i always laughed at, the guy who spends money on a game he already bought.

if i have to pay for myteam then i wont play it. simple as that. to think i spent $400 on myteam this year and countless hours and my best pull was amy davis (40k) and the fact that my collection is worth 20k mt....its not worth it.

i will always put this mode last in 2k. its too expensive and i think of how much i spent grinding ah and myplayers in orevious 2ks and its all for nothing.

These 2 are non-negotiable and anything less than a complete fix means I'm out for 2K18 MyTeam.

Then comes a wish list of nice to haves that are not including general gameplay:
- Keep the same early release schedule (max 85 rated current players) and scale linearly to end of cycle. This probably means get rid of Intangibles because the 92 rated Harden was the start of this year's decline. Literally sit down and plan out the release schedule for the entire year and actually stick to it.
- Leaderboards and better stat tracking for online matches
- More interesting offline challenges, could be as simple as selectable difficulty level going from Pro to HoF will appropriate reward.
- Practice plays extended to MyTeam lineups
- Fix lazy code like Amethysts contracts worth more than Diamond, less badge slots for Ruby than Sapphire, etc
- Extra prestige options/rewards, give players a reason to play after receiving the final reward. Could be simple as a number indicating extra prestiges achieved after 3.
- Real team overall ratings and not ratings used by other game modes

Then comes the nice to haves but extremely unlikely because it doesn't generate 2K income:
- Allow more options for friendly matches including difficulty levels, quarter length, etc
- Forced lineup variability in online modes like restricted overall/tiers or head-to-head challenges with extra restrictions

this. in my opinion this matter stands over everything else. game is unplayable in regards of competitive play and MTO is a lottery whether your opponent is going to exploit broken game mechanics.

for me this years release is the worst since next gen 2K on console

Make grinding the game just as viable or more close to as viable as buying VC. The amount of MT you get from games, challenges, and trials is ridiculous. Get a triple double for 75 MT? I can't even buy a shoelace for 75 MT. The most MT you can earn from a single game is like 3,000 MT and that's basically going perfect from 3, perfect from FT and playing a 1,200 MT challenge. It's crazy.

Also the off-ball defense. It's an issue in the game period but it's almost comical in MyTeam. Last game I played Kawhi Leonard, a top 5 all time defender literally ran away from his man who was open in the corner.

Fix blacktop. No way should unlocking Isiah should work like this. Some guy who hasn't even played 1,000 games gets lucky and gets him after a loss, but there are guys who reach 1,000 wins and still don't have him. The technical foul aspect is garbage. The players are outdated, like I got Amethyst Amare and he can't even see the floor in my current lineup. The technical foul aspect is garbage. There should be more of a skill requirement than luck requirement to get one of the best cards in the game.

Better and more dynamic duos. This was one of my favorite aspects of the game and they half-A**ed it all year long and made it unfair. I would have picked Francis over Marion if I knew he'd get a DD later.

Better content planned. You can almost tell that 2K was going off the cuff with these cards. The moments system was completely inconsistent. Westbrook and AD broke it within the first month.

Then some of these themes that just didn't add up. We still don't have a Steph Curry that's as good as Jimmer because 2K planned poorly. Same with Klay still only having a Ruby or Kat not having a Diamond. Players should receive less upgrades or not have an automatic jump in tiers. I think a mix of the dynamic system and the moments system should be the standards going forward.

More card information. So much vital information is missing. Dynamic duos and affects of DDs. Player type as far as plays you can call. Amount of badge slots. Shouldn't have to rely on an external website for this.

Removal of this system where players have off games. I averaged crazy numbers with LeBron my first 5 games with his diamond card, then all of a sudden I played against an Amethyst KD and my LeBron was useless. Even when wide open, he couldn't do anything in the post, he was just garbage this game and I know LeBron's release which is why I play through this card so much, he's my favorite player.This is after torching Diamond Kawhi, PG, & Pierce. I understand it adds variation in the game, but variation is highly problematic when you're in a seed that you can't lose games in.

all of these ideas are great but weve had the same issues since 2k14 next gen along with new isssues. imdont expect much to get fixed.

reading them is nice, but 2k literally complained about how hard it is to work when they are raking in the dough.

MyTeam clearly has some big flaws, but I've enjoyed the hell out of it in my first year. The concept is fantastic even if the execution is lacking. Three things that absolutely must be fixed next year:

-Taking losses from rage quitters. The company's stance on this, which is akin to burying its head in the sand about a known, widespread, potentially game breaking issue, is disgusting. IF YOU DO NOTHING ELSE, 2K, FIX THIS
-Matchmaking: This could be done any number of ways, all of which have been mentioned here.
-Make every league on the same difficulty (probably superstar). It's ridiculous to play against someone on a different difficulty setting. This is a really easy solution to a very annoying problem

-Make every league on the same difficulty (probably superstar). It's ridiculous to play against someone on a different difficulty setting. This is a really easy solution to a very annoying problem

The biggest draw to my team for me in the first year was that it had some restrictions in both domination and my team on line. ever since it's become more and more of an arms race of who can spend the most time and money to get the best cards. all 2k wants is the money to start pouring in right from the moment they release the game, so restrictions are not a good thing for their pockets.

they said restrictions this year would affect who your match up was in my team on line but that is not the case. Think of it like this, and all Ruby team is 99 and it all diamond team is 99. What's the point of using all ruby when you can spend to get an all diamond and still play against the same diamond teams?

So I've played 280 games of MTO and have never played against someone in a different difficulty setting... who are you guys going up against? Know that when you see an emerald league logo it's actually ruby (superstar) and so ruby is actually lower tier (of which in higher leagues I've never played against)

About half of my games in the upper leagues are against All-star guys. I don't look at the league logo because it's definitely bugged. I judge how my own players perform in game and by the end of the first quarter I can tell if it's the same difficulty or a lower difficulty.

I'm going to demote myself to Sapphire league soon and just play all my games in All-Star for the rest of the cycle. I can't stand seeing my players perform so inconsistently.

Edit: Can you imagine how completely asinine it is to unilaterally disadvantage one player in a competitive game. This is like giving one player guns that fire faster, more accurately, and do more damage in Quake with more player health. Or giving one player better units and free resources in Starcraft. And to top it off, you don't tell your playerbase what's happening so everyone is confused and it kills the competitive community.
