Remember how this was once the franchise that released a great game for $20. Man, now everything is just about greed. I understand that production costs have risen and companies need to find ways to make up for that but 2k has become entirely centralized around microtransaction for a full priced. With customers shelling out for it, it has only embolden them to make everything costlier in the game. 2k for a pair of shoes, how about you need to pay to unlock almost any animation you want. How about your my player start out in the nba at like high school stat level to force you into buying vc. Then the audacity to make players play game modes they have no interest in or else be at a huge disadvantage or tying game modes together that have a distinctly different player base interest. I could deal with it if the game play was great. I was suckered into it last year when the prelude dropped. Was so frustrated with the prior game I told myself I wouldn't preorder but that 2kU freedom won me over. Fast forward a month or two and patches made the game feel exactly like 2k16 with different dribbling controls. And now with even another price increase, not this year, no matter what. Begging for some competition.

Happy for Shaq, if he could be involved in just a little bit more than the commercial it'd be nice, like Kobe in the my career skit last year.

I was lucky enough last year to pick up 2k17 for $30 around Christmas season, the amount of problems this game had/has and 2k's way of going about it tells me I should keep doing that

I can't trust how the game will turn out after 17, so I'll be waiting for pre-owned versions to hit the shops.

I'm sure the game will come and be great. Then by December it will be a mess with poorly implemented patches that break the game. If not, then maybe I'll buy it in January.

I can't wrap my mind around how they want 100 or 150 for a game that will probably be broken majority of its cycle.

They don't want that much for the game. They want $60 for the game.

They want $100-150 for the game IN ADDITION TO a bunch of extra Shaq stuff and VC.

I bought the legend edition last year. But I'll go down to standard this year. If NBA Live comes out sooner, if it's even 75% as good I'll buy it out of principle alone. Tired of the vc money grabbing. If that wasn't enough , this is just way way too much

I want to take advantage of my Amazon Prime pre-order bonus. I'm not buying this game at full price 2-week period on Amazon or not. I'm buying NBA Live 18 regardless how bad it is just to support it. It's a 90% chance I will not buy or play 2K18 because of my frustrations with 2K17. This game has to be a highly rated game across the board for me to consider. No more blindly buying this franchise. Too many mishaps with this one for me to support 2K18. I can't do it.

So you will blindly buy a franchise that has not been top rated from a company that tried to coup the NBA license and in return serve a turd than from a proven franchise that revolutionized sports game presentation from a company trying to be greedy and make extra money off its fans although it is an option.
I don't know 2k has always found a way to stick something in the game that makes it dynamic and not stale like it's competition
