Loving this game but I am terrible!

Any advice on defense? How do I block dunk attempts?

I noticed that swiping at ball does not reduce your momentum meter, but if you PUSH, you take a massive hit to the momentum meter and your stamina.

The push is much more effective but I like the balance there.

I've played 4 online games. 2 smooth as silk and the other two a mess. I started a 5th and was playing 2 maxed out James Hardens? Looked all glitchy. I backed out.

Game is a blast though.

How do you know when a player is maxed out? Does it change ratings at all?

I'm not sure. From looking at my legend Curry, has a star, and a silver basketball. His guys had the star and a gold basketball. I figured that meant he was maxed.

What do bumping these cards up do in general? Anybody? Lol.

I just took a picture of Draymond Greens ratings before I leveled up. The ratings did not change after leveling up. A little note said he's unlocked new moves. Also, the basketball in his player card turned Silver.

Amazing game, IMO. Love the difficulty of timing your shot/dunk release. Steals can't be spammed like most reviews are saying.

Maxing out the card gives the player better crossovers and dunks. Idk if there's another boost they get. And yes the gold basket ball means Its maxed

I was expecting the Switch handheld to look like trash, but I think it looks pretty darn good. Of course it looks better docked but playing this evening in bed was so sweet.

I'm pretty awful at this game. I've lost six straight and just can't get the timing down right. There really doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason why I'm missing layups and open shots. One minute I think I have it figured out, the next minute I'm bricking them again.

I don't know how I feel about the scoring. I'd like to play a straight up game like Jam. I've seen a 12 point shot, some fours, etc. Some of it just doesn't make any sense.

It's still a fun game to pick up and play. I'm glad I got it on the Switch most of all.
