I go by my work schedule, I have set days off with alternating weekends off, so 2 weekends on a month, 2 weekends off a month.

I play 82 game season, but only the games which fall on my day off - I simulate the rest.

Here is what one month looks like, as an example:

SUN - MON - TUE - WED - THU - FRI - SAT

SUN - MON - TUE - WED - THU - FRI - SAT

SUN - MON - TUE - WED - THU - FRI - SAT

SUN - MON - TUE - WED - THU - FRI - SAT

and pattern repeats the same way for the next month (not counting any vacation days I take) ....

any game that falls on those bold days off, I play.

Works fine!

EDIT: Exception is playoffs, I play every game in the playoffs. No simulating!
